As others have said the intro and the outro so don't fit with the main lead. The main lead is soft and summery with gentle piano. Then at 5:55 you get an outro which sounds like something out of a bangin' tech trancer.

And those facebook comments above are hilarious ^^

The intro actually is the most "oldschool" part for me, but its a little "thin" sounding. The mainlead however screams generic. Typical over-the-top factor b progression.

I mean alba, cre8 and thos old ones in the style is also quite formulaic with the typical standard modern uplfting start-break-middlepart-mainlead-outro, but somehow they carry more energy and momentum and feels very focused and cohesive. But lets be honest some of the 2004 tracks were somehow generic aswell, albeit a little less so.

Some absolute clowns on Facebook get way too emotional over and about little things, such as generic tracks, and generic tracks being labeled as such by others.

Other than its producers, I don't see why anyone else would get upset about opinions. Listen to whatever you like, it was made exactly for you and people alike.

Yeah, the lack of consistency kills this type of tracks. What is it trying to accomplish? Is it supposed to be tech-trance? Uplifting? Trying to shoehorn both styles rarely works well, but that's what everyone does and that's what labels love.

The chords at 1:24 feel old-school, but the "pads" (or synth...) coming in at 1:53 feels too technical and empty. That's probably why it sounds thin to you. The old-school chords suggest that From Way Back is meant to be melodic, but the soundscape at 1:53 is more apt for a tech-trancer. I'm not a fan of that soundscape - it seems like something you would tack on a track instead of crafting it nicely, even if you're working with pre-sets.
I would say this track is poorly-executed. Its sections don't make sense, and it seems like the producer just threw together things that he thought sounded cool but ultimately feel disjointed.

What a shitshow hahahahaha.
The track is disjointed as fuck, it doesn't take much to realize that.
But I guess it does take a monumental effort for Mr. Christopher to come in here and argue about why he thinks we're cancer or why we are wrong in the first place.

The most authentic sounding uplifter of the last few years (sounds like golden era of Anjunabeats) and you guys dont like it anyway. Sometimes I dont get it here. So what do you actaully want from the uplifting sub-genre? Seems like trancefix users only appreciate J00F and deep progressive stuff...

Track isnt really that bad....🤭

I actually like everything about it except the mainlead itself, which is the absoulute weakest part. The outro is also cool. The emotion it conveys stays inbetween happy edm/ generic plucky style. Its just hiiden within a trancy pad/style. But just phatten up the synth without the pad, slow it a little and change rhythm and you have a typcial edm melody, Everything except that is just cool, it has balls. Alot of 2004-5 ish stuff had what others here called disjointed/techy builds transisiton into more uplifting stuff, although maybe not this extreme contrast this have. I mean just listen to the Nitrous Oxide stuff, the Aalto Stuff, the Altf4 stuff. They all have ballsy foundations. But they are a bit more seamless in their exectution + better mainleads.

I think it's rather nice actually, the closest thing I've seen to an Into follow-up so far. The main synth is not that special in my opinion but it does its work just fine regardlessly.
Won't go into the facebook comments myself, that's a discussion I don't really want to be a part of to be honest.
