These 2 amazing tracks were made by italian duo Mauro Tannino & Stefano Di Carlo. Discovered this duo few weeks ago and instantly fell in love with their music.

Mauro Tannino unfortunately died 12th of August 2000 in Ravenna in a parachuting accident, and Stefano di Carlo still makes music (you can check it here) - their music was quite popular in Italy during 90's.

I prefer "Celesta" over these 2, the nostalgic & romantic "Marino Stephano vibe" hits me right from the start, and I think if I heard it live I'd probably shed a tear listening to this.

Always having uncontrollable goosebumps from such kind of tracks which make you forget about all the negative stuff in this world.

I don't know why, but when I listen to "Nice Trip" I imagine myself passing some adventure game, watching a cutscene and waiting for subtitles to appear :ROFLMAO:

A year after these 2 tunes were released on their Synthetic label, Tannino & Di Carlo decided to create a follow-up and called it "Nice Trip 2" which included 2 tracks - "Variation" & "Time Out".

I just love "Variation" melody, also reminds me of some game music.

Time Out is much more trancy and energetic.

Great post!! I have never heard about these guys, but the scene in Italy was always huge and diverse, just few artist like Picotto, Piu or Bismark (and maybe Saccoman??) were successful outside of the country..

Celestia is my favourite from your post, thanks so much!

EDIT: just digging out their discography, there many great tunes, but doesnt sound this like 'For an Angel' in the middle part? EPIC

Hehe, yeah, from 2:30 it kinda sounds like For An Angel, though the notes are different.

I wonder if Paul could "borrow" this style of melody for it 2 years later or is just a strange coincidence
