Artist:

@EnigmaState / @hoopoe
——Both of them set up their own label and released their debut album (or album-like stuff), which I highly respect. I voted for Enigma State as there are some physical releases from the label and tracks from other artists, hope to hear more in the future.
When I am submitting the votes, I find that I forgot to choose the artist, updated now.

Early February as it stands now @NameLessYet
Looking forward to that!

Almost every bit of music discovery I do is tied to the forum and what people share here, so its a very "TranceFIx list". There's another 20 tracks that I hold in high regard that I couldn't find room for, so on reflection I think it was a good year, with a nice mix across all the pockets of the scene.

I only had room for one Hoopoe track, but Liked most of them, so he gets runner up artist after Alvar (@oneofthesame), whose album and sound were a refreshing change from the norm. TMS a clear standout for TOTY. @Narel, I also saw on socials that it got top 50 track of the year on beatport. Congrats, that's actually impressive.

1. Narel - Tired Mountain Syndrome
2. Bonna - Sacred Soul (Rebirth Mix)
3. Coredata - Shimmer
4. Tornado Wallace - Bitter Suite
5. Coredata - Kaleidoscope Skies
6. Close Proximity - Acid Is My DNA
7. Irini - As We Go High
8. Alvar - The Mist
9. Rambal Cochet - Amnesia
10. Fantastic Man - Genesis (Lekker Tekker Mix)
11. Hoopoe - Aryudata
12. Tourman - Mana Potion
13. SEO John - Dewpoint
14. Sleep D - Green Thumbs
15. Super Frog Saves Tokyo - Mondrago
16. Cybernet - Veil Walker
17. Alvar - I Need
18. Oprofessional - Evolver
19. Alvar - Follow
20. Mikkel Rev - Journey Beyond

Album: Alvar - The Mist
Label: Forescape
Artist: Alvar, runner up Hoopoe.

I really only listened to Enigma State album this year, otherwise it's classics only. The JIS - Solstice track was really good. All I want is tracks that sound as close to classic era as possible, I'm stuck in my ways like that, but modern productions don't seem do it for me in same the way. I should probably put more effort in and have a look at what's being shared here and stop being so grumpy.

There’s not a question in my mind that the best album is Enigma States. 12 tracks of wall to wall trance and no filler, and each production is top class. If any one of those tracks was released as a solo in 2020 it would have caused as much as a scene as In My Fantasy did. I think we’ve got spoilt a little over 5 years with his music that we got a bit accustomed to his quality. Ask 2019 me if we would get an album like this in 2025 and I would have said no. Fantastic album.

with the big melodies and big synths. This is my list for now. Might change / forgotten stuff. I've gone for music that simply made me the most enthusiastic, pumped up, smiling, etc.
Maybe you can consider Ke Jo - Golden Era, I think it perfectly sues what you said.

If anyone haven't heard this before, here it is. Released on the first day of this year, such a hidden gem.

My pick so far. I’m usually not one to toot my own horn, but I’m genuinely proud of how Undalatus turned out, and that’s not often the case for an overly self critical hobbyist with too little time. First choice goes to the Welsh interpretation of over the mountains, which also was a strong album contender next to Beams and enigma state’s debut album. I’m a sucker for old languages. For the rest a fairly mixed bunch including a lot of usual contenders.
