ES mix sounds great, its raw, its driving, its warm and cold at the same time (as it should be) and the execution of the synths is proper early 2002-2003 style, however I do find the whole track a bit too simple/formulaic in its overall structure, which is intentional I think, but its really really predictible, c'mon :p Its very straight-forward.

It sounds GOOD though ;)

Wow, the original sounds terrible. Just start the track and it just sounds.....wrong. Its like you intentionally pitched down a steroid trancer and i hate tracks that start with a kick a and transformers sidechaied bassline right from 00.01. Thats just one of the worst things ever in "trance"....and the rest of the track is sooooooo bad and one of the most awkward tracks ive ever heard. Producers that doesn't know where to draw the line of incorporating subtle elements from other genres and just does full-blown cringey pieces of abominations of music. Having a trance production around some cheesy western saga type of musical - it doesnt work, and will never work.

Damnnnn that baseline for ES Remix! From the very first second I am smiling and nodding. So thundering and inviting. The hats are perfect. This is exactly how it should be, a production style that grabs me straight away. Warm and cold, as Daysleeper said. In fact I agree with this comments that its probably too straight-forward too.

But musical content aside, I am just so happy to be hearing Trance like this in 2022. So happy. Almost every track I here today just fails at bringing something that brings pleasure to my ears, thats sound rich, full and inviting as this. It doesn't matter how unique or brilliant your track idea is if you are failing at the fundamentals of the sound itself. Its become a lost art, but ES is delivering.

@Hensmon @Daysleeper

I couldn't agree more about your comment on my remix.
I actually changed my production techniques in an even further old way of producing on this track. I went to balancing the track on my analog mixing desk which was how it was done in the good ol' days. What I found was it gave me the analog warmth yet at the same time cold because of the limitations you have with balancing the track on a mixer. Still a learning curve for me also.

Structure-wise yes a bit typical. Two reasons; firstly if you hear the original, there wasn't a whole lot to pull from it in terms of a main lead melody. I ended up using the little plucky arpeggio that you can hear at the first breakdown on the original, and I adapted that to create a main lead.
Secondly, I wanted to push it at 7-8 minutes rather than 10 minutes+ as I felt that ,making it a lot longer it would drag it out.
Vocally I felt it wouldn't fit the track I ended up doing if I used the full vocal so opted to take the 2 whisper sections and making that the focal point.

The package itself is a diverse package.
The original will split hairs as it's a very different track from C&C and for the folks wanting another Trance uplifter they may not be swayed with it but knowing Adam Pracy personally he's very much about creating whatever comes, not taking the scene too serious and just overall being a musician/artist instead of track after track the same, which for me is great to see.

Happy that you overall enjoyed the track though 😊

Great remix mate @EnigmaState
Any updates on your new original single?
Ive got a couple lined up already but I wont rush them out just yet. Im still planning a 2nd vinyl with the Trance Classics guys also.
Ive got a few remixes ive been doing to help broaden the Enigma State name over some labels but ultimately for me the main thing is not rushing music out for the sake of it. Has to be the right material - but absolutely more original music will be coming :)

The ES remix is the big winner here! That kick drum has a heavy undertone of Alphazone in it, and love the percussion elements (nice use of the clap to give an off-beat rhythm), and what about that high hat!
Overall, the remix gives me the feeling this is a follow-up to Feeling This Way, which was always one of my favorite 'Crasher tracks

Hmm, yeah the sound is there but somehow this doesn't exactly move me. Bit too simple and straightforward, I agree. Even if this was really a track from 2001 let's say, I would still say the same.

I'm in the early 30s but I got exposed to trance when I was 8 :D
Thats pretty cool. I started with Depeche Mode and synthpop and later on, through euro-trance and rave I discovered trance somewhere back in 97 or 96... Im 37 now

Would just like to share some appreciation of the Stoby & G Coulter remix also. G Coulter is Greg Murray, from Rusch & Murray and other projects around 20 years ago, in case people didn't know. Reminds me of old Coldharbour releases.

My dad was a huge fan of Jean-Michel Jarre, so of course I became fascinated by his sounds when I was 5. I then quickly went through synth pop (Depeche Mode & Pep Shop Boys but also Modern Talking and the like), euro-house (2 Unlimited were a blast!), house (Gigi) before I stumbled onto Oakie and PVD+BT. Gotta thank VIVA!
