One of the best moments from Tiesto's set at Energy 2000. This was the perfect follow-up to Destination Sunshine (Tiesto's power mix), and it fits with the darker, spacey tracks from the set like Kaycee - Millenium Stringz and Arrakis - The Spice. The string melody during the buildup right before the breakdown is pure bliss.
Excellent work by The Digital Blonde!

Saw Tiesto play it many years a go, it is melancholic in its emotion, the crowd really responded. It feels to me like a Tiesto track sometimes with the melody.

Rick has always been my favourite prog trance producer ever along with Airwave <3
And yes, it's his best one along with "Legato", even though these tracks are different from his modern sound.

The Digital Blonde - Legato

Also my favourite one from his modern progressive tracks is this one:

The Digital Blonde - Noc2one (Midnight Mix)

I dont remember when the last time I listened to this. Prolly 7-10 years ago, maybe even more. Back when I heard the Tiesto Innercity mix cd the first time this was def not my fav track in there. I didnt like the detuned synth that much and the melody felt kinda one-dimensional.

I like it more now, but I actually like the parts that comes before and after the first climax/mainlead part. It doesnt sound like a digital blonde track, more like transa or cascade prodction.

Digital Blonde was so much better those days when his music wounded ultra fucking gritty. His newer synthwaveish style bores me to death.

I would say it's pretty close to Legato and Serenade. He didn't make many of these 140 bpm uplifters, but they were nice.
I agree that Electra does have a "Transa" vibe to it, but the main melody is undoubtedly The Digital Blonde. It's a bit dark for Transa imo.
