Can't wait for this album. The last 2 were fantastic.
This "Only You" rework sounds like a follow-up to his "Orenda" remix, it's so good!
Discovered it through this J00F set last month and instantly fell in love with it.

Sounds great! Looking forward to N3ON. Hopefully it's a banging conclusion of the trilogy.

Really liked Neon 1, still need to pay 2. Will get that done before this third one comes out.

Synthology was crazy energetic for something that came out in 2006, but the production quality was abysmal. Would love a re-release lets say with updated production techniques. Ricky has learned so much from JOOF once they got together for the 00.db project and his music really took off afterwards. He always had incredible melodies (from haunting to energetic to pure devilish) but it always needed a balanced production. I'd say currently he's one of the best out there.

Just wish that the guys would focus on 00.db part 3 instead of yet another solo project, I've been waiting for 5 years for even the slightest of snippets and there's nothing yet ... :(

Regarding the track, I hope this is not the BPM, since Only You was mid 140s from what I remember and part of what DB so god damn awesome has his high bpm. It's also really interesting that Ricky found a way to keep tracks interesting and bringing in and out elements even when the length pushes 10-13 minutes, I can't even remember the last short track he did (maybe Strange Events from NEON1)

I always thought the lo-fi from Synthology was intentional for a "raw"/more unique feeling. It sounds jarring without context, but ultimately it accomplished what it set out to do: to create a raw style of psytance that had never been heard before

TDB has not produced a high BPM track in a while. Sub-130 is his artistic direction along with the rest of JOOF.

Maybe not 140+, but he's still producing 135-140 on a quite regular basis. Both previous Neon albums had at least a few higher bpm tracks, plus there were quite a few remixes in the last couple years around 138.

I always thought that was the appeal of DB - the rawness and emotion of the productions,it wouldnt be the same if it was perfect crystal clear stuff hehe.

I think there's a difference between having a raw production style and simply being messy. For me, Synthology is a lot more the latter than the former. I love the album to bits because of the energy and it's unique sound, but it can be hard on the ears and even frustrating when you can't distinguish between the various elements due to over emphasis of the low frequencies.

Having just said that, I immediately went ahead and blasted Requia :D

Havent been a fan of Digital Blonde for a few years now, never liked his Synthwave gimmick with 3 min long intros and outros. This track sounded alot better then i expected, reminds me of how JOOF and Airwave sounded a few years ago before they went shit. And yeah, Synthology album was amazing

Any more updates on this one? These tracks are excellent. Delivering a hard but classy touch to a style of Trance hard to find nowadays.
