The Electro Swing thread

I promise, this is the last "miscellaneous genre" thread I'll make.

Electro-swing is one of those niche genres that has existed for a while but truly took off in popularity during the early to mid 2010s. I accredit this sudden rise in popularity to the mainstream hit We No Speak Americano along with an increasing interest in the 1920s thanks to the 2013 movie The Great Gatsby. The genre itself really is a fusion of house music with swing, which sounds like it shouldn't work - but it does!
Electro-swing sometimes broke into the mainstream and has several songs in the tens of millions of views, with Lone Digger accumulating nearly ~300 million, yet it's remained largely indie all this time. I think there is only so much you can do with a house and swing fusion to create something that sounds good, so once you hear a few tracks the genre starts feeling a bit stale. Even then, the genre has an interesting premise and is great if you want something that sounds both modern and old-school.

Caravan Palace - Lone Digger [2015]

Parov Stelar - All Night [2013]

Parov Stelar - Libella Swing [2008]

Swingrowers - Butterfly [2017]

I was surprised to find out there were not many Youtube channels that specifically upload electro swing music. Your best venue for electro swing is via electro swing mixes like the [OLDER] Electro Swing Collection or Xefox Music's collections (ex. Best of Electro Swing Mix January 2017)
