yeah man, i'm one of the lucky ones who got a ps5 just in time for the release. here are a few words after i tested it a bit over the weekend.

I don't think you have to say much about the look of the ps5. The design is a matter of taste and will not satisfy everyone. But the console is already huge and will not fit in every compartment of a cupboard. Here you should measure before the purchase.
Since there were no next gen games available for release that interested me, i had to make do with the tech demo and the PS+ titles. The audio- haptic feedback of the controller is a great feature that will play a big role in future games. For example, you can feel the different surfaces on which you are walking with the character.
The resistances of the shoulder keys adapt to the game, which will certainly play a major role in shooters later on also the rumble features of the controller provide more immersion.
I personally don't like the motion control (tilt controller as command input) this already annoyed me on the ps3.
The controller lies very well in the hand but i dislike the pressure point of the 4 main keys. They feel as if they have been used millions of times.

The console is much quieter than its predecessors and i haven't noticed any disturbing noises. I also could not detect any heat development, this will only become apparent when the right performance is required.
Contrary to earlier messages the sound format Dolby Atmos is supported, at least with Blurays (here you have to switch to "Bitstream Dolby" in the settings. But Dolby Vision is not used at all.

About the performance itself, I can't say anything, I'm not an expert and I don't want to presume a comparison to the XBox Series X.
In my opinion, the exclusive games will decide which console sells so much better. In my opinion, the PS5 still has the advantage (Horizons 2 for example). However, the purchase of Bethesta by Microsoft could become a gamechanger, that will certainly take a few more
years.

Great reply man. Yeah, all I'm looking for are the exclusives. Looking at Microsofts strategy over the next 5-6 years it's pretty evident they want to cross-platform with PC for a lot of their titles. Halo is just the beginning.
I've never owned a PS, but their list of exclusive games is just ridiculously good.
Unfortunately I didn't get a PS5 this time around, but if I want to I can buy one from a private owner for 1200 dollars haha. People are going insane with that and I, with all my heart, hope those people who bought 10-20 consoles just to sell them for a much greater price never sells a single unit. F*ck those people and their greed; Sure, it's not illegal, but I really do hope people are smart enough to not buy one from a private seller for a much, MUCH greater price.

So, did anyone actually manage to get one, haha?
I'm considering a PS5 since pretty much every Xbox game will be available on PC anyway. But I won't buy one until Spring or Summer
I think I'll pass on the next gen consoles for now, but a few of my friends have gotten their ps5's. No complaints, other than the HORRIBLE Playstation chat party update, but that also goes for ps4 as well, which annoys the hell out of me, too.

I've been getting more and more into graphic design and animation type Adobe After Effects work...along with music production, I think I'll just save up for a beast of a PC rather than a ps5. Thank goodness everything is pretty much cross-play anyway, I'll just use my ps4 controller instead of the mouse and keyboard, haha.

Best of luck getting yours! I'm sure after the holiday craziness has gone down, they'll be readily available everywhere.

Currently playing Control on PS4. Not mind blowing, but fun gameplay and a very interesting environment/world.

Yeah, Control is a pretty fun game. The gameplay is snappy and I the story is rather interesting.

Currently playing Yakuza: Like A Dragon. What a fun game, the story is bat-shit crazy and the characters are just superbly written. Wonderful game!

And I just bought an MSI 3080 Gaming TRIO X - no idea when it will show up (most likely in 2021), but I'm excited, haha

The launch of this game is a clusterfuck. And gaming sites are pumping 10/10 for this?
Seems like another soulless open-world game with boring gameplay and awful AI.

Most people who've played it, not reviewers per se, say it has a lot of soul, wonderful graphics and a fantastic story, but everything is held down by bugs, specifically on consoles. Glad I bought it on PC. Haven't played it yet as I'm currently going through Yakuza.

Had one of the greatest gaming experiences ever recently, with the remake of Resident Evil 2. I had never played the originals so went in fresh. It was a 10/10 experience, with gameplay that was incredibly challenging in a way that only old games were, with the level design, problem solving, item management and combat. The atmosphere was so good, I was generally shitting myself some times and the graphics were on point. Its a true experience from start to finish and very challenging. Anyone else played that? Couldn't recommend it more

Finished Yakuza: Like A Dragon a couple of days ago - my God, what a fantastic game. It was probably the best 80 hours I've ever spend on a game. The character of Ichiban Kasuga, a former Yakuza, is one of the best written characters I've ever seen. There was something extremely humane and humble about this person and the voice acting for him was 10/10 - seriously, the english dub is one of the best I've ever experienced.
Every single character in the game, from Nanba, a homeless guy, to a former police officer, Koichi Adachi, a second in command of a criminal organization, Joon-Gi Han to a leader of a Chinese mafia,, Zhao and many, MANY more are so well-written it puts every other triple A game to shame.

There's just so much stuff to do, from helping NPC's around town, to putting on a big hat acting for children to helping a dying man paying his hospital bills to even breastfeading 4 men and so much more; It's absolutely insane. The most important thing is though; Every single side-mission feels unique and is an absolute joy to play through. There's no "get that thing and return to me"-times-100, every single side mission is unique and contains more story than most main missions in other games.

Easily one of the best games I've ever played through.

Now I'm playing through two games; Horizon Zero Dawn and Valheim - both fantastic games so far.

Today I downloaded the most recent roster updates for Madden NFL 20, and for fun, I picked Tampa Bay vs Washington, 15-minute quarters, simulation, all-pro difficulty (2nd hardest). Played only on offense.

The end result? I won 70-51 (as Tampa). I just threw medium-to-long passes, with a bit of running for added confusion. At one point it was 63-27, after which they adjusted their defense, and the long passes didn't work (though it did not stop me from trying). But when they did, it was just crazy how precise Brady is in-game. Lots of contested catches (and hail Marys) were caught. Forgot how many pass yards I had, but it was plenty. Plenty of interceptions too. Lots of fun for casual playing. Gonna try a proper all-madden game tomorrow, with a bit more thought and tactics into it.

Just finished Metro: 2033 Redux and will go through Metro: Last Light Redux now. Just bought Yakuza 0 and the new NieR Replicant - can't fucking wait!
