Finally gave Far Cry 2 a proper chance. Third time lucky!

And boy oh boy is it a beast of a game. Very hard to play...if you're lazy. Always just going to the other part of the map to complete a mission, getting into a thousand skirmishes on the way, forgetting to save it and losing progress when you die... Has its magic but does take a lot of time doing meaningless traveling and fighting. The mechanics are pretty basic too. But it does seem good. Kinda torn on it.

YES OH YES! That game is soooo good! Mind you it is the only game from the franchise i have played so dont mock me :ROFLMAO: but damn its such a great game. So did you help the 'The Jackal' or what? i usually do. cant remember if you survive the blast at the end if you help him or not but he is such a charismatic villain i just have to help him, evil maybe but still :D

I have got through like 20% of the game so far, it takes so long and I've only done a couple of missions!

Sounds like every single Ubisoft game ever made, haha

Farcry 2 was created with a greater emphasis on realism. One of the reasons why you've to navigate the map with your hand. Far Cry 2 and GTA 4 were both released in 2008. Both games placed a greater emphasis on realism. That decision was well received by many gamer, but it was not well received by others. For example, I enjoyed Farcry 2's realism. At the time, it felt like a revolutionary game. Jungle Fever, Fields on Fire, Night & Day Circle, Weapon damage, and so on. There was no such realism in a first-person open world game at the time. On the other hand, I wasn't a big fan of GTA 4. Because I believed that too much realism detracted from the pleasure of the regular GTA series. There were a lot of side mission games that were absent, possibly due to the realism. This is merely my opinion. Others may hold a different viewpoint.

Recently been playing Age of Empires 2: Definitive Addition.

This game was an obsession for me as a kid, 20+ years ago, I have always loved strategy type games and this one might be the best ever made. So good that even 20 years later it still has a huge online community, tournaments, updates etc. The Definitive Addition was last year and gave it new graphics, mods, tweaks etc. Its incredible.

I am training myself on harder AIs to battle some real people online soon, but my god its a hectic game with some much going on. Love it.

Big fan of Dragon Age as well, but mostly Origins, which is one of my fave RPGs of all time.

IMO, DA2 was very weak in comparison and Inquisition was "just" solid. Hopefully with DA4 they manage to nail the vibe of Origins again.

I honestly think AoE2 and Diablo 2 are the two games I've put the most total amount of hours in. My God I love that game and I also play AoE2: DE from time to time. What an amazing game!

I just started to play Super Mario World using this SNES emulator. And it gives me a great enthusiast. Has anyone played any other SNES games using this emulator?

So it's been like a week since I've discovered this f2p game called Warfork which is one of the most fast-paced FPS games I've seen, and I love it.

As I mentioned on Page 2 of this thread, I love Quake 3 Arena, especially the Defrag mode which focuses on movement mechanics and their use in completing parkour-style maps as quickly as possible. It's done by strafe-jumping, rocket-jumping, plasma-climbing etc. and is very cool in my opinion, but hard af. No wonder I've been playing defrag for more then 10 years and still kinda suck xD

Basically Warfork is another fast-paced FPS with a focus on speed, aim, movement, and above all competitive play. Besides that the player has a 'dash' function where the player can change the direction he's moving in, whether it's 1 km/hr or 2000 km/hr, and that makes the game much more intense then Quake.

Here's the example of the game:

And here's the example of a race mode (btw it was performed by Stangelove, a very skilled player from Defrag). "Warsow" was the previous name of the game until the owner decided to quit the project cause he thought the gamers are 'too toxic' or smth, so that's why Warfork was created.

This game is really underground as sometimes I just search for players and there's absolutely noone to play with on EU servers.

I hope it gets more attention some day.
