Been playin the Halo Infinite multiplayer alpha testing. So far I feel its about 7/10, little things not working that make a big difference to the gameplay. Its serious halo fun despite it. But I only hit up 2 maps and i think so classic maps could boost the score.

Recently completed GTA Vice City. A blast from the past. Don't think I've ever completed the story, always got a 100% savegame, written down the cheats and went on a mayhem.

Can't top San Andreas for me but it's still very good, pretty hilarious.

Saw that Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 got out recently. Got it, played a couple of hours and deleted it. After a bit, it bores you. It's not really that much different than the 2018 version.

DCS world - Wow this game almost looks real if it wasn't for the camera shots I thought this was the real deal.

Finished playing Black Mesa last night, the independent remastering/re-imagining of Half-Life 1.

The original might be my favorite game of all time and this remake is a massive win in doing it justice. It's not just an updated graphics and improved AI, but the level redesigns give it so much more life and make it much more enjoyable. The last section of the game Xen was always a bit flat in the original and now it is fucking unbelievable (screenshot).

The game is so damn long as well, probably took my 20 hours to complete it, and i've completed the original 4/5 times before. Epic in proportion and world building. Black Mesa facility to me was always character amongst itself and these developers have just taken it to the next level. 8.7/10

This is coming to PC
I believe this is fantastic news for PC gamers. However, I've recently noticed that all Play Station exclusives are being released on PC. I'm not sure if it'll be beneficial to the gaming community as a whole. If all console games are ported to the PC, the console may become obsolete. I believe that there should be a variety of exclusive titles available across all platforms. This is simply my viewpoint.

Currently going through the Yakuza-series. I've only completed their latest game; Yakuza: Like A Dragon which is one of the best games I've played in many years. I've started with Yakuza 0 now and will work my way through all of them.

Ha, they're in stock there? Good luck finding one here in the stores. Yeah some tossers will sell it to you for too much on eBay.

@PegaSus

Yes, the global chip shortage has exacerbated the absurdity of the PS5 market. The GPU market has already gone bananas, and now PS5 adds to the confusion.

@Rok

Congratulations for the PS5. I hope you will have a wonderful time with it. RE8 is one of my favorite games this year. The atmosphere in this game is incredible. The plot and twists are also fantastic.

Looks great. But VERY Souls, even by FromSoft standards. A lot of reused assets by the look of it.

If it’s half as good as their previous games though, I’m all in regardless :LOL:

I agree with you; also the world seems a little lifeless to me. I liked the atmosphere of the forest section, especially where the giant beasts were. I'm hoping for a great story because the game is written by George R.R. Martin. By the way, I appreciate how various powers and combos can be used. In addition, the map has given the game new layers. I'm hoping that this option will be beneficial to the game rather than detrimental.

One of our main tech shops had limited stock 3 times in the last 3 months. They announced it in advance so I was able to get mine on time. :)

I've preordered battlefield for ps5 as the cod universe is seriously annoying me with the add ons/characters and cheats. For a war game, I don't want to be Rambo, John McClain, Donny Darko or the scream mask.

Earlier, games were more story-driven and single-player centered. Nowadays, it's all about micro-transactions, custom packs, DLC, and battle royales, among other things. Remember, when COD 2 or 4 was released. Those are the games that people still remember to date.

Yeh it's money making continuous add ons that fuel them now, not the game play. They've become like mobile games, those free ones you get, but to be good or complete it quick you have to buy more and more !
