This single was a massive flop for The KLF. Released off the back of their #1 single Doctorin' The Tardis (under the name The Timelords) and underground hit What Time Is Love (Pure Trance), the original of this track (Kylie Said To Jason) failed even to chart. It was the final nail in the coffin of their cancelled 1989 road movie and soundtrack album 'The White Room', which has surfaced on YouTube via promotional VHS cassette in more recent years. This single was the only piece to survive and be released.
Instead they set to work on 'Chill Out', and, reinvigorated, returned with their pop/rave-oriented 'stadium house' sound and scored a run of top 5 singles from 1990-1991. These were collected together on their final album, also called The White Room, although by then sounding very different to the original soundtrack.
