Solar Walk V marks a return to the classic Astropilot space ambient sound — slow, expansive, luminous, and deeply meditative.
The album began as a search for the feeling behind the earlier Solar Walk journeys: wide harmonic spaces, warm drifting tones, patient melodic movement, and the sensation of travelling through vast cosmic distance.
One of the keys was rediscovering an old part of my process: the non-standard tunings I used around Solar Walk III and IV, including 432 Hz and 444 Hz. Returning to that approach helped bring back warmth and emotional resonance.
This is not a remake of the past, but a continuation of it — a new chapter shaped by deep space textures, gentle sequences, slow harmonic arcs, and light moving through silence.
