Sounds lovely (y)

Yes! I was curious to your response and must admit when I saw you'd replied I was expecting to see some of that trademark 'real-talk', ha.

I mean it sounds exactly like a 2001 Trance track, doesn't it? Every element I can hear and touch (textured), and it sounds so balanced. Listen to the kick, its soft/medium in prominence, the track doesn't loose any energy either.

The melody, bassline and the breakdown are cool but that kick it way too blunt/dull for me. And there are no claps at all. It needs tweaking or a remix basically

Hey. Thanks for the comments. This is a pre-master version. We wanted to test the waters with this to gauge a reaction to it so a quick master was put on it to allow for the video to be done. There is no actual vinyl of this as yet. It's just a mock up video 😊

Thanks for the comments. I've really tried to being an authentic classic trance sound with this. Every sound you hear has been made using authentic synthesizers and drum machines. No modern day virtual synthesizers or pre made samples were used.
Glad you like the track!

You can see a short video of the production here

@DazTC - Very cool mate. How did this come about and when can we hear the full track?

Thanks mate. It all came about very quickly really.

Nath' had posted the video of him playing (as posted above) in our Facebook Group, and after watching I felt that it would be awesome to join forces and try to put something out together combining his talents with our fanbase. A quick message or two later and we got the ball set rolling.

Of course I'm not a producer, it's all Nath's work here, I'll simply take on something of a Tiesto roll at most you might say, just giving a bit of feedback/suggestions until we are both happy.

We both have the very same vision here though and really just want to bring some authentic sounding classic Trance tracks back into the scene.

To some these tracks will certainly sound dated, and if they do, then great as that's the whole idea here :D

Sounds very promising (and exactly like a ~2001 track would)! Can't wait to hear it in full. No other recreation of the early 00s stuff sounded so well, and maybe that's the key - use what they did back then.

Are the synths pure analog, digital or virtual analog? Curious about what you used.

I love this tune, already relistened to this little preview at least 10 times 😁

As I already told the creator, it feels like the track is from 2001-2005 era - kinda has a dreamy atmosphere of the Dj Precision's "True To Trance" radioshow podcasts and in my opinion this track would fit for label such as Somatic Sense which is planning to relaunch soon (I believe because of Precision's upcoming dj set at Luminosity Beach Festival).

Anyways, I'm very happy to see such track in 2021, with my favourite trance atmosphere and without any commercial elements.

Funny how many people in the YouTube comments definitely had this on a CD somewhere back in the day...
It had some great comments! Some people were absolutely adamant they had it.
The aim wasn't to make people would mad, but to really test the thoughts of people and it's authenticity. There wasn't a single comment that it sounded modern or clinical which made it pass the test.

Good stuff, love the melody! I wouldnt say its hard to replicate that old sound, its just that no one takes any notice of it nowadays...
Yeah to a degree noone tries to make that sound anymore. Look at it as "it's old Trance" but there's no reason why it can't be a current sound.
Jazz and the Blues is old but people still make it, just not this style of Trance.
