Trance really is dead. (At least in the mainstream)

I don't really care. As a producer who decided to share his work publicly, you should be prepared and should be open to any and all potential criticism/opinion and take it with humility and dignity, regardless of whether if it's positive or negative.

Instead of taking this personally, maybe you could have explained why you think I'm wrong and could have used some of your productions to prove your point.

But all you could do is call me... holy historian? Dude, you need to grow up.

P.S.: I'm sure as fuck a historian compared to you, with around 25 thousand trance tunes I've already listened to. You know jackshit about the genre you claim you are producing tracks in for more than 20 years. Basically all your favourites are super commercial trance anthems from the most commercial year of the genre (1999). Your knowledge (and thus your understanding of the genre) is surface level at best and you seem to have close to zero knowledge about the era when most of the development took place and many of the most interesting tracks have been produced (1993-1995).
I can assure you that both Jetflag know more producing than me and Magdelayna has 3 different tracks featured on Airwave's ambient reworks where he has remixed Airwave's save me, Alone in the Dark and Sunspot. He even has remixed Airbase too and a number of other artists and has plenty of mixes too.

on that we agree yes,

personal note: I don't think that is a bad thing at all by the way. Ask yourself: do we really want trance to be mainstream?
@Jetflag Been wanting to answer your question for a few days. Wasn’t sure what to put.

I have for many years wanted trance to certainly be much more popular. (perhaps mainstream yes).
I think the principles (as I see them) behind trance are good for people. Plus I have read quite a bit of evidence showing that it can have a very positive effect on mental health. (which I have thought since the early 90s anyway). No other music has the effect on me Trance has. I search out specific tunes and types of tunes for how it can make me feel and always have.
Surely everyone does this with trance right? Search that track that can lift them and elevate their emotion to great heights? This I partly equate to being why it is good for one’s mental health.

Offcourse everyone has a different emotional / mental setup within them, so it wouldn’t be that trance is everyone’s bag. But I can guarantee that sooooo many young people (up to 30 years old) - simply don’t know what trance music is. I have been asked so many times by friends of my step daughter’s etc. What’s Trance? (this is why I used 30 as an age cap). All of my step daughters didn’t know themselves what trance was when I first got back into making it (2020)

Seeing as mental health conditions seem permeanantly on the rise I think bringing the opportunity to many who don’t know what Trance music sounds like would be of benefit to so many. It basically kept me alive from 2002-2012.
So ‘Yes’ I’d love it to be mainstream.

Super Progressive who lives in the UK he has some interview with legends in the progressive scene but he talks about how producers these days have a tougher time breaking through.
