Hey guys, last year we did our ‘Best of Trance & Progressive’ and this year we’re doing it again!

But now we are opening it to allow the community here to vote too, helping us make a higher quality list and one that better reflects the wider scene and tastes we have here. The top 50 will be released alongside a final year report in early January!

To make remembering a little easier we put together this spreadsheet which contains all the popular and potential highlights from this forum through the year. Feel free to review it to help your vote. If you can’t think of 10 good tracks, that’s also fine, fill out as much or as little as you want. Hoping that the followers of Uplifting/Tech sounds can give some good suggestions so the list isn’t too skewed to the underground/prog sounds ;)

Will be interesting to see who the best album is. Origins vs N3ON…? Or maybe something else? Hard one. Also best track.... A tie up between the two Enigma state tracks or is something else deserving perhaps? Look forward to seeing your guys submissions.

Happy voting.

You can vote and edit as much as you please. The "Copy to Clipboard" button copies your votes so you can just paste them in these comments to let others know how you voted.

If you encounter any problems, send me a PRIVATE MESSAGE describing the details as much as you can. But of course, do refresh the page first and try again. :D

This will require some thought. I largely stay away from the modern output but I have been surprised by some this year. The Digital Blonde album was very good. The Enigma State tracks were something special, Enigmatic especially. Well its been a tough decade for Trance but I still haven't lost hope and expect to harvest some tracks from the final list for my playlists.

Enigmatic at this moment feels better to me than In My Fantasy, but not so sure. IMF has a better melody I think...

Hard to not give the album nod to @Narel's from earlier this year, that was really really lovely and kept coming back to it. Could easily include Walrus, Cortex Vortex pt II and Counter Entertainment in my top 25 of the year.

Definitely need to think long and hard about my votes, listen through my favourites and bookmarks, check some of the threads, your votes and that spreadsheet as well. Will definitely fill a top 10, but not sure I have a clear favourite so far.

It was the last year review that made me find this forum, a good read and I also found some new tracks for the collection and hope to do the same for this years . Don't really folllow the new stuff religiously like I used to, but impressed with Activa's output, the Digital Blonde album and a few other cleaner mid tempo Trancers that emerged. And those Enigma State tracks too of course.

I also enjoy activa. I like how his masters are quieter than most, but still sound great.

His production does stand out above most. He gave us so many good tracks this year, with both Tristate Pt II and Pt III being released, with some of the best tracks of the year, and then his album which was very enjoyable, also many great tracks. And the odd remix. Maybe 12 worthy tracks I could have chosen for my vote.

I would be interested to see what @Electronlyman decides up for his best DB NEON tracks, after reading the colorful and enthusiastic review. I still play this album regularly to date.

MMmmm....!! maybe I miss the 'The Best Dj' category? There are some huge selectors and skilled mixmasters in this electronic/music world.)
