Last couple of hours guys! The vote closes in a bit less than 14h.

Still deliberating over my votes though. I think I have a top 5 so far.

The Enigma State tracks will be a 2022 release - so shouldnt really be included in lists here imo.

Cold Blue - Songbird would be my top pick for a 2021 Trance track. Most of my favourites of the year were Techno.
Its Sunbird, but yeah...it was in my top 3 as well :)

They will have it on the 2022 list because if they like it,they will buy the release this year. You have to have the rules one way or the other. Do you go by official release date or when a producer puts a sample up lol.
I think its way more intressting to know when the tracks were made rather then when they were released, that's just administrative bullshit.

Yeah I get what your'e saying @Magdelayna, it is usually better to just stick to release date as to not complicate things but this release wasn't really following normal patterns, in the sense that the first samples came out in early 2021 but then we got pretty much the full tracks much later and have essentially been listening and discussing the tracks all year (and in some cases paid for it too) and it very much feels like a part of 21 rather than 22. There's a bout 50+ instances of votes for these tracks so far so seems many feel the same. Even Enigma State and Daz voted for it too haha ;)

Luckily I read about this just in time (before the voting is closed), so I edited my list and included "In My Fantasy". I honestly thought that Enigma State's tracks would have been considered a 2022 release (so not to be included in this list)!

Just did it, finally. Had some trouble with the bottom 5, there were a couple more tracks that deserved to be there. But ultimately, just glad and relieved I finally did it. Will write a couple of words about my choices if I find some free time in the following days.

After reading the votes that have been shared I can see a lot of common choices with others and my own. Nice to see when harmonious agreement takes place in Trance. It has been a good year for the scene, but much more to do and grounds to be made up.

Thanks for the positive comments man : )
This album was a labour, but worth it. My JP8000 crapped itself not long after finishing ‘There’s the Walrus’ so I was really glad to get it done, the track is 80% JP.
@Narel your remix of Matahari really blew my mind and properly alerted me to your talents. I'm just going through your back catalogue on Beatport from the beginning and there are some absolute beauties there. Do you always produce with a mixture of analogue and digital gear and what have been your best loved tracks over the years?

Ooooft! be careful in that back catalogue there's some cringers in there where the 'mastering engineer' messed things up, and some tracks that I cringe at now that nothing to do with poor mastering!

Glad you like that remix, opinion was a bit divided on here - a good thing, keeps one sharp!
I only have one analog synth - a Behringer TD-3, so not even an old thing. I do use some old virtual analogs though; Nord Rack, Nord Lead 3, Access Virus B and Roland JP-8000, they are used on pretty much every track, for example the lead riff in the Matahari remix is the JP, the pads in it are Nord Lead 3 and the lead in my alternative mix of 'Endgame' is the Virus B. I'm a heavy user of an Access Virus Ti Snow too.

Fav tracks, wow.... emmmmmm;

Recently released 'Ambient1' EP on Bandcamp, I'm really proud of these and they took ages.
Remix of Audio Noir 'Life', I really liked this but no one bothered with it.
'Analysis Mode On Phaelon'
'The Machines Were Dreaming' - production is very dated now but its my fav lead riff I've done.
My mix of ‘Burn Your Idols’
Vitaly Shturm 'Sensoria' remix
'Counter Entertainment'
'There's The Walrus'
