And no Spaceman Dub in the whole list is for me almost shocking :/ Damn that was the best Digital Blonde since Serenade from 2011

Digital Blonde was a strange one because he actually had lots of votes across many different tracks - Space Dub, Amazium, Occams Razor, Drake Equation, Electric Stars, G-Wave, RUSH, Earth Lights, Neon Pulse, UVB-76 and Tiamora all got votes. One of the most voted on artists in fact, but so spread out that they never managed to accumulate enough votes to break into the top 100. 15 points was about the cut off.

It is? In my Bandcamp download my track metadata comes with both artist names on the track. It's confusing because the description does read like that it was only Johsnon did The Mystery but that also that it was who Definitions did Lost in Tokyo (however your'e also asking me to add Definitions alongside Johnson for that one).

I think it's better to refer to the information on Beatport.

Gratulations to all winners. Enigma State, Narel, Aerium, Coredata, Borderline and Pure Trance. All deserving of the high praise and recognition what keep me returning back to the trance scene week in week out.

And thanks to TranceFix mods for yet again running a fun vote.

Happy new year everyone.

I remember seeing 2024's list and thinking wtf.. I don't know most of the tracks listed. This year's list is totally the opposite, i know almost every track mentioned and can thus agree with most of them. It was indeed a good year overall.
Hoped to see more TDB tracks mentioned but i understand Hensmons explanation above too why that's not the case.

Congrats too all the forum members who's tracks or album won a spot.

Congrats to all winners and everyone who featured in the top 100. I think this is the first year I in a while I never voted, but tbh I've just not listened to much Trance from 2025. It'd simply have been full of Enigma State, Transtate, and maybe a compilation from either The Thrillseekers or Pulser with their vinyl releases.

Awesome to see Nath' featuring so often throughout the top 100 though, also taking album of the year with 'Of The Essence' which was an absolute belter. Well deserved!

Congratulations to all the great people out there making music. I didn’t vote, but I really love this kinds of lists and voting ‘contests’, because it gives me a chance to instantly see which great music/artists I have missed last year. For me, the Trancefix community ranking is like a ‘seal of approval’ to help me navigate to the good trance music in the sea of shit releases. So thanks again for all the effort you put in this.

No Ferry Corsten/Gouryella in the list is a bit of a surprise, although Moon & Stars is one of my lower ranking Gouryella tracks.

Could be coincidence, but since my track Minds came up a few times in these lists, it's now riding high in the Trance R/D/W charts in Beatport.

@Lawn Jarre if you could mobilise the entire nation of China to buy it and get it to the top spot, that'd be much appreciated :)

Joking aside, thanks all. It means a lot to hear such positive comments amongst all these amazing producers.

In the new year, I've got some plans, and am also considering taking on some 121 coaching for folk focusing more on the psychology of making music and overcoming barriers to NOT producing, as well as dipping into any technical areas that may arise.

Always open to suggestions :)

On the topic of the underground... it felt somewhat of an underwhelming year. Apart from some bright moments from Repulsive Force, Alvar and Mikkel Rev, and popular EP's from Close Proximity, Seo John and Mahkina, things felt a bit sparse, and that you really had to dig harder than ever to find gems. Nu-trance mixes are still quite pumping and enjoyable, but familiar names are becoming less reliable and tracks are rarely embracing the full Trance sound. The nu-trance/nu-prog movement kicked off around 6 years now, so maybe the next phase of musical change is upon us, and things are tailing off, but it would be tragic if we start loosing momentum.

I can agree with this. What I did like I really liked, e.g the Peak Experience releases, but outside of a few other tracks it was slim pickings.

Still, I am grateful for what we have, and for the community that shares here. Long live the underground, whatever form it takes.

Here I am messing up the stats buying the album on BC haha. I was JUST listening to minds again before I read this, it and Mondrago for me.... Seriously killer album mate, loved it.
Sorry there's no physical this time around, Lawn! Wasn't really in a position to press the CDs up.

I'll try to make sure there's not a three year gap between records this time :)
