And no Spaceman Dub in the whole list is for me almost shocking :/ Damn that was the best Digital Blonde since Serenade from 2011

I was shocked to find the first TDB track on #47...

Spaceman Dub wasn't my fave track of his in 2025.
He put out many big ones!
I'd even go as far to claim it was one of his strongest years since a long time.

Yeah, disappointed with the voting not reflecting how strong of a year he had!

Digital Blonde was a strange one because he actually had lots of votes across many different tracks - Space Dub, Amazium, Occams Razor, Drake Equation, Electric Stars, G-Wave, RUSH, Earth Lights, Neon Pulse, UVB-76 and Tiamora all got votes. One of the most voted on artists in fact, but so spread out that they never managed to accumulate enough votes to break into the top 100. 15 points was about the cut off.

That makes me curious, how many times was he voted in total across all his tracks from the year?

Maybe it's a good idea to introduce a new category for the next voting: "The most liked/popular producer"?

Huge thank you to everyone who voted for me, my album and also my label.
I've also shown this to J1S who was over pleased to see his track reached number 4. I'm hoping he will be putting more tunes out this year!
Congrats to @Jetflag in taking number 1 tune of the year too.
2026 is shaping up with new tunes from me, other artists on Transtate and more vinyl releases! 🙂

Huge congratulations to all the awesome winners, truly deserved. I loved Undulatus Asparatus and the Enigma State album so I am happy to see them get the recognition they deserve. I imagine they won't even be mentioned on r/trance, which is sacrilege.

It's a really nice top 100 too, and as always, I will be throwing out my request for a Spotify playlist. Thank you.

@Electronlyman Digital Blonde tracks featured 28 times, but only 7 made it into users 10s, meaning the majority were 1 pointers. And then due to the high prevalence of his track output, they were spread across so many different tracks. There were no clear favorites. The next one to be included would have been The Drake Equation. This was also a very competitive year, the bar was much high to break into the ranked vote.

In comparison, Enigma State featured of 100 times. Coredata was mentioned 50+ times, with only 3 tracks.

Next year I will consider doing proper counting to see how many artists featured, although I have a feeling it will correlate highly to what you see in the vote. Also I am open to changing the system if it seems unfair.

28 total mentions, I'm curious what would that be if we had a top 10 artists ranked solely from total mentions count.

Top 10 favourite, or most popular artists based on mentions only would be interesting.
In my option both the Forum and artists
would gain from that.

Firstly, massive thanks to all who supported my tracks (particularly if you downloaded) throughout the year. It was a huge and exhausting project, totally unsustainable and not something I'll be repeating, but seeing you all enjoy, play and share them made it worthwhile. I said something similar on Instagram but everything on my own label was entirely a one-man operation - artwork, promotion, mixing/mastering... please don't underestimate how much work this is for the many artists in this position who basically make no money and have to do it all on top of real full-time day job. Narel, Enlusion, Horizons (Landscapes), Sunda are just some names that come to mind because I worked with them, but there are obviously many more.

I am now off to don my bridesmaids dress and remix Garfunkel, Messina, Oates and Lisa Simpsons' #2 hit Born To Runner Up.

My votes were:

1. DJ IP - Lucid Visions
2. Wigs - Oxygen
3. Body Clinic - Bongo Loco
4. Bliss Inc. - Planet Unreal
5. Ayu - Point Nemo (Spray Remix)
6. Spriitzz feat. Merely - Sunscreen
7. Kettama - It Gets Better (Forever Mix)
8. Christopher Ledger - The Lost Skyline
9. Mahkina - From Another Realm
10. Aiden Francis - Paranthos
11. Julie Desire - This Sound Has Twisted My Mind
12. Sofi Vonn - Vogue (Wigs Remix)
13. Sleep D - Gummy Drop
14. Schiela - Kaskade (Abdul Raeva/Gearmaster Remix)
15. Framboisier - Memory Access
16. Wigs - The Inbetween (DJ Life's Dubbed Out Mix)
17. Jeku - Frostbite (Dub Mix)
18. Charlie Tennger - Lagoon Dreams
19. Janeret & Miroloja - Everlast
20. Close Proximity - Eternity

Artist: Wigs
Album: Narel - Apricity
Label: Belters4U
Comp: Haws Club Unity Vol 2

Biggest shouts to Wigs who must have released close to 20 tracks throughout the year, his balance of fast, groovy energy with tasteful oldschool production is close to my idea of perfection. Body Clinic a close second. Belters4U got my label vote because, while the label's releases are decent, the work they put into promoting other releases on Instagram (and possibly elsewhere) is admirable. I get more than half my recommendations from them alone, with "ButteryBeats" and "subwaxBCN" also worth a follow. I'm a lot more optimistic about the scene than the writeup here, although I see more and more of a split between the foresty/psy-adjacent deep prog (Alvar, UTE, Rambal Cochet etc.) and the clubbier side that I favour (Wigs, Body Clinic, Maruwa, Spray etc.). If I continue producing, it will be in this direction rather than the stuff I have released up to now.

I was going to suggest maybe a separate "DJ" category, but even moreso I feel there should be some sort of "promoter/other" category to celebrate those who do a top job in sharing music. As mentioned, Belters4U does wonders, as does Aiden Francis who is constantly liking, posting positive comments and supporting new producers and labels on social media. Your own @Z Dobrej Woli works endlessly to trawl Beatport, create charts and make threads here, @NameLessYet too, and they often are the unsung heroes.

Props to this TF squad and community for doing this, it's like the only voting award left on the planet that has any semblance of meaning left to it.

Biggest shouts to Wigs

I only heard Oxygen from him this year which I loved, didn't realize he was cooking so hard, thanks for the heads up dawg.

Congrats sent to Aerium for toty. It is a good one. Hat off to the rest of the mentions too, you are there for a reason. I might complain a lot about the scene, but I still like coming here and seeing whats being released, and there is reason to be happy each month with tracks here and there.

You should definitely continue producing. One of the best producers in the standard trance scene, and if you can bring some of that trance flavor and flow to a nu-trance orientated sound it might be some of the best in that scene. 90%. of those producers can't for the life of them bring journey to their track but I feel you would get it, like the best of both worlds.
