TranceFix Radio #11 - Still Breathing II - Mixed by Enlusion

The madlad, the myth, the legend is back at it. He's the owner of Forescape Digital and one of the best looking guys in his city with hair to match, muscles as Hulk and a face to die for. But we are not here to talk about Kirill Smirnov, better known as Enlusion - we are here to talk about his new mix!

Back in October he created our fifth episode, Still Breathing and now he's back at it again with.... drum roll please... Still Breathing Part II ! I know, who saw that one coming, am I right!? His last episode was focused on the underground world of Progressive House, Trance and Techno and this definitely feels like a natural next evolution of that. Expect some absolutely beautiful tracks from the likes of Enlusion himself, Rock Pier O'Neil, Coredata, a couple of wonderful mashups and some amazing exclusives, JUST FOR YOU! A truely fantastic mix, just the way we like it.

Yeah dude I would totally love to see names that are more accustomed to 'normal' trance just dip into some serious or deep stuff. Like the comment from @HTY mentions It would be great if we can see more drive in the deep trance world, and I think using artists like stoneface & terminal would be a good experiment to see how they interpret it. Airwave too, although I think his taste has clearly changed now. Oliver Prime I think would fit nicely on Forescape.

I try hard to encourage producers I like to make something for my label. In most cases I get requests for 300, 500 or even 1000 USD for a track/remix. I hardly get 100 USD from all sales/streaming monthly as a label. People think I'm a billionaire here just 'cause I own a label!

I didn't know artists made such requests. Is it quite common for labels and Forescape to pay artists for their tracks upfront? I never really thought about it. Do they still expect all the normal royalties on top of this?

Enjoyed this, as with part 1. Well thought out mash ups. Thanks for the play mate, it’s gotta be an ok tune if you play my remix over yours. I’ve got to pull my head in and get this new one finished for you

Nice compilation of modern, darker, deeper tracks. Would be good to see this style gain some traction, especially with the new sub-genre label on Beatport. Enjoyed the mix, the mashups in the first half are great, and I love the tracks from the second half as well. Thanks for the exclusives, they sound great!

Completely agree with the comments about drive and pace. The mix ended fantastically as it was ramping up.

But you won't get off that easy, mister. This mix is 6 minutes and 26 seconds over the limit. You were saying something about dodging the banhammer?

Thanks man for the nice words!

Now, I was really hopeful I'd get away with the length limit, sounds like my fate is sealed!

I have to add that I don't listen to much trance these days/weeks/months. So finding a reliable source of trance mixes I can enjoy through and through is the thing I love the most about TF Radio. It's so crazy to me, that with my nitpicky attitude and a general disinterest in trance mixes, I enjoyed ALL the mixes. And it's not bias. I just think we got the concept right and hope others feel the same way.
