Loved it! It just gets better as it goes on, the last 90 minutes are the bomb. Well worth the listen and it sums up the year rather nicely. Lots of good tracks.

Great mix, and very nice transition to Into the Void. If all three mixes are this long, we'll need a box set like LOTR. :p

Btw, props to who does the TF graphics too, which my bad in case it's written somewhere and I've missed it.

Yeah I love that transition! It happened by accident. I was cueing it up on the CDJ and hit go - forgetting that it started with pads, and as the key is the same as the same as the track before it sounded great. So I decided to just drop it in like that at the end of the previous tune. It makes a nice difference to the rest of the beatmatched transitions. All done on CDJ800MK2's!!! LOOOOL. I'm 41.

Accident or not, it came out great. Happy to see AP in there either way, and Into the Void is an awesome track. It was initially my TOTY but A Light in the Dark won by just a smidge in the end.

Now if only that Astral Projection album would come out already. It's been coming out since before the dinosaurs. :)

Haha made me chuckle. Me and Kata got carried away when putting the tracklist together and submitted nearly 40 tracks, did have a laugh when I saw it was a pure unit of a mix coming in hard at 4+ hours. Love it though honestly. I smashed through it in one sitting on my plane ride back to the USA last weekend, was awesome. Gagi is right I think it gets better as it goes on, but I really like the first hour too. Might put some timestamp sections breaks on the youtube to make consumption easier for those wanting to listen in parts.

Mix II will most likely not be 4 hours haha, probably a normal mix time. I gave @Redrot a reasonable amount of tracks. Should be an incredible mix though, if you are into the underground stuff. Mix III I am still looking for a mixer actually! Its ambient/downtempo, any takers?

That would be me mate! I'm a graphic and UI/UX Designer by trade so do all the design stuff you see in forum and branding, although Kata actually creates the radio show videos and animation and then occasionally the laziest one of us all, Gagi, writes a line of code.

While I do enjoy downtempo stuff, and I did accidentally create a few mixes that could best be described as not requiring the listener to immediately run for the hills, that was about 13 years ago. I better stick to, at best, mixing drinks.

Oh very cool! I've only dabbled with graphics for news article promos and some release cover spoofs for fun, but even so, there's plenty of websites out there to make even me cringe.
In that regard, TF's design as whole is awesome, the dark mode especially. Light mode doesn't exist and you can't convince me otherwise.

Re: animations, I'm guessing Kata uses AE? If so, mad props because anything made in that looks like witchcraft to me.

Finally, lazy? Odd. I thought that was spelled strategic procrastination. :p

Well….. I know I’ve had my time on this EOY gig, but I’ve mixed many an ambient set including playing the chill stage at the Rainbow Serpent festival. Happy to do this if there are no other takers, but please give to others before me.

Oh my. Four hour mix? First of three? What is this monstrosity! It's like we're back in the 90's or something.

Sign me up for this journey!

Holy shit, this is the biggest thing ever, a 4 hour mix? Haven't heard everything yet, but I like your mixing style. Taking the time, harmonic, great flow.

Thanks for including my track Narel :)

It's not the first of three 4-hour mixes, just the first of three mixes in general.

That said, I am, as most of you, very excited about the next two mixes.

Thank the TF massive mate, I didn't choose the tracks I was simply the DJ. The tracks are the best of 2022 as voted by this forum, so give yourself a hi 5 for being in the list : )

Don't let Hens fool you - I often bring my own suggestions as a graphics designer myself (Some might even say a Graphics-GOD), but @Hensmon's hand is so far up his own ass he won't accept anything I do.

I used to use AE, but I hated the whole subscription thing, so I switched over to HitFilm, which essentially works the same way, but does have a couple of limitations. It's a one-time-purchase though, so I'm happy with that! I'm still learning how to properly use it, which can be difficult because there are TONS of tutorials for AE, but not many for HitFilm - any suggestions are welcome, though!

Really enjoying this mix - such a awesome set of material to work with. Great transitions and absolutely nailed the one into Tracks In Crimson Dust - that elicited a cry of "get in!" from me while driving to work this morning!
