I was next in line to foto ;) I'll upload the photo when I get home. The set was fantastic! I'm absolutely thrilled with the entire Luminosity event.

First time Lumi for me.
I went on Thursday first, it was quite empty, including the mainstage. Still, I had a great time. The Mirage vinyl set was definitely a highlight of the whole weekend.
The weather wasn’t the best, but at least it didn’t rain.

Thursday left me craving a bit more, so I decided to go again on Sunday. I'm glad I did :)
I knew that Enigma State alone would be worth the ticket, and I was right. That set was absolutely spot-on. Despite being on the smallest stage and in the same timeslot as Picotto on another stage, I was glad to see it was still somewhat packed.
The moment he dropped In My Fantasy, with no cuts — letting the breakdown properly build — and everyone around enjoying it… that's something you can only truly feel when you're physically there.

I also enjoy some diversity, so I appreciated the more big room techno influences from some mainstage acts.
The Ottaviani b2b Nifra set was basically: “Let’s put a techno kick under whatever song you can think of,” lol. But it worked for me: the energy was fantastic, and that’s the kind of sound I want to hear on a mainstage these days.
Whether that belongs on the mainstage of the trance-focused event... that’s another story. Probably not the best type of crowd for that, although I get that they’re trying to keep up with trends and appeal to the younger generation a bit. Same as ASOT Rotterdam. Again: worked for me.
There were also some trance-only acts on the mainstage too, so it wasn’t all wannabe-techno.
And the most important thing is: you could always find something you liked at the other stages. So much variety.

For most sets however, the highlights were just the same classics or modern techno reworks of them. Nothing really remarkable imho.
Enigma State was one of the exceptions. Showing how to produce proper bangers even today, and in a perfectly crafted set. That should’ve belonged on the mainstage, hands down.

Other random notes about the event:
  • The average age was definitely high (no surprise there), but I was actually surprised to see quite a few younger people, more than I expected
  • The location is nice. On Sunday, the weather was absolutely perfect. Really, it couldn’t have been better (especially for the Netherlands, lol)
  • The audio system on the mainstage was spot-on. In the other stages… a bit meh. Visuals and effects overall were also kinda meh.
  • No water taps, and €6.80 for a bottle of water is just shit, to be honest. That’s a deliberate choice by the festival organizers, some festivals provide free water, some don’t. The latter always lose points from me. I get that they need to make a profit from food and drinks, otherwise they’d run at a loss (or so they say). And judging from what I saw, most people around me were drinking water instead of alcohol, so apparently it was a smart choice by the organizers. But still... it sucks that it has to be like that. Well, no tokens at least...

A few days ago I was at a medium-sized festival, and even there the trance-like stage had better design and effects than Luminosity mainstage. I know that in the end it's the music that matters, but considering the price of the ticket, I think Luminosity is really disappointing on this regard, especially this year.

Any trancefixers going to Brunch Elektronic Berlin ?
I'm going alone on the Sunday to see Ben Bohmer & Adriatique. Would be great to catch up with someone for a beer.

I will be responsible for the reception of Lostly and Super8 & Tab and many other things, so are there anything you guys want to ask them?

Met and talked a lot with Lostly in the past two days.

I introduce TranceFix and TF.R to him, also recommend him to listen to the wonderful album by @Jetflag (then invite him to join in the forum).

He told me that he might know this forum and even have a interview by the (old) TranceFix. But he said the members in these forums always spilt a song to something like drums, kicks, melody.. and so on, judging the song with the elements, which he doesn't like.

Some photos posted by Lostly, I will also post some later, as I am not in these photos yet. I was about 5 meters by his side on stage during his set, it's really a different scene, but who will take a picture of a assistant haha.

Went to another event yesterday in Shenzhen, to watch Amos & Riot Night and many of my producer friends (incl. @Ishiro).

Although I am not a very big fan of modern Uplifting Trance, I really enjoy listening to them and chatting with my friends around.

By the way, Amos & Riot Night played Lately and State Of Mind (Bryan Kearney Rework) of @EnigmaState, crowds really enjoyed them. I think the State Of Mind Rework will even get a place at ASOT Tune Of The Year, as its growing popularity haha.

On Saturday, I went to Daxson’s Open to Close set at a club in Poland. I absolutely loved it—Daxson played even better than I expected, and the vibe was incredible. It was a crowd of pure trance lovers. He surprised me with a few tracks (like Simon Patterson - US ♥️). You can listen to the set on SoundCloud
