Some lovely sounds in the Signum remix, though I'm not into this style very much.

Yeah its very raver/pills type of bouncey Trance, very good and fun to see live but bit cheesey for home listening I think. Signum really was a master at it, I think I am saw him around 4/5 times and his tracks he dropped were just insane.

As much I love the signum remix, the original is way more subtle and gentle and has a great vibe. After I heard a new release from Robert Nickson with Bulgarian folklore motifs I got immediately reminded of this beauty.

Only other song that comes close to this is Tiesto's Tiesto pres. Alone In The Dark - Edward Carnby (Tiesto Vocal Mix), still miles away from Travel. I've heard some bulgarian voices in Bicep songs too.

Hmm an interesting assessment. Nothing cheesy about the Signum remix I think. The kick is quite tough and the build up borders on tech trance with it's monotonous bassline. Then you get the sharp and edgy synth elements that fade in and lay the groundwork for the rest of the track. The blossoming of the synths in the breakdown is epic.
And I love the way the synths just continue to pound you after the take off, superbly complimented by the epic vocal fading in and out. The track has incredible energy and atmosphere, nothing too complicated but all fits together so well. Signum at their peak 1998-99.
