A complete Harry Potter rewatch.

The part I found most (emotionally) impactful - the last one - I found the least impactful this time around. It's much more epic, has a lot more action, fast-paced shots, running, explosions etc etc etc. It also has that annoying forced humour throughout.

In general, even though I enjoyed them all, something is lacking for me. Maybe the books can fill that void... (though I don't think I'll read them)

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (2024)
I find WWI/II movies too heavy and boring most of time, but this one was light and fun
I didn't know it was a Guy Ritchie movie until the end credits

Nightwatch: Demons are forever (2023)
Seeing the trailer and thought it's a mystery movie + weirdo characters. That's going to be interesting.
And yes it was quite good. But some IMDB reviews said the first /movie were way better. And so that goes to my next watch list

Infested (2023)
Should be a great monster movie, but these 2 made it annoying:
- Way too much yelling
- Seems no character is capable to use their brain

Nightwatch (1994)
Should've watched this first before the sequel. Some hints from the sequel made watching this movie less surprising. But compared to the sequel, this has more unsetlling scenes and psycho character.

Civil War (2024)
Never saw a movie about war journalist and how dangerous their work could be, and that's the interesting part. However it's also annoying to watch an imbecile character being such a burden. Good thing it's Cailee Spaeny, so I keep watching to the end 😆

Bionic (2024)
The idea is interesting, but the story is so-so. Still an enjoyable watch, though.

Boy Kills World (2024)
Love this! Fun action movie. Art direction and characters looks like a movie version of Streets of Rage.

Dr No (1962), From Russia With Love (1963) and Goldfinger (1964)

I have no idea why I rated Dr No and Goldfinger more highly than FRWL. They are completely inferior in every single way. FRWL is, barring some dated action sequences, a more complete, down-to-earth, proper spy action film. It's possibly the most grounded film in the franchise.

With this newfound enlightenment, I would include it just after Casino Royale for the best Bond movies - and I've watched them all; some more than twice, some even more.

Saw Alien: Romulus. Went in expecting a 6/10, got a 7/10. Quite happy with that! Enjoyed myself. Have load of thoughts that will share some other time.

So glad i did not watch the trailers. Ruin everything, who dies, who gets face hugged, the entire story arc basically. Fucking trailers man, why do they do this? I remember Prometheus doing the same thing. If you want to enjoy movies nowadays then ignoring the trailers is the only way.

The Naked Gun - From the Files of Police Squad!

Childhood memories and till today I find this funny, I am probably still going to laugh at this when I am nearing my death.
