I've been fascinated about Greek mythology ever since I could read. Troy was one of my favourite movies as a child, and The Siege and Fall of Troy by Robert Graves was one of my favourite books - it's a short exploration of the Trojan war.

So I have huge expectations of this one. Modern, big-budget filmmaking is not one of the things I get excited about, so for me it's just the story I'm interested in, and how I will be judging it. The trailer was insignificant for me in that regard. I will definitely watch this.

Love the aesthetics and that of Achilles in particular for starters, hope he stays true to the source material
*agamemnon, Achilles’s death is not presented in the Iliad if memory serves but other sources do claim him dying at the hands of Paris.

15 Stories High
Pre-ordered Predator Badlands today, it'll be delivered around March 1st

I'm hoping it's good, probably won't beat the original though :p
Saw it yesterday, movie itself is average at best (in my humble opinion), all tension and horror has been removed from the series. As with the Alien Series, these movies and series are more targeted at children I guess.

The Best Mother in the World / A Melhor Mãe do Mundo (2025)
Reading the premise makes me assume this gonna be a tearjerker movie, but I was wrong. It's a drama about motherhood, but the protagonist is tougher than any female action protagonist I've ever seen. Brazilian slice of life movies never failed me.

Predator Bandlands - Just awful. Its like gaurdians of the galaxy, kids movie shit. The predator used to skin people alive and rip the spine out of kills, now he makes friends with little cute creatures, wears tank tops and has human trauma to deal with. The acting and dialogue was terrible too, especially from the synth (good and evil one). The action and overall premise is super generic, but had a few nice planet wide shots, but there's almost nothing to like about this movie. Zero atmosphere too, which is what made the original so good. 40/100

I didn't like adolescent at all. I miss how some of the shows and movies were shot in the 90's and 2000's. Now, It's too loud, and in your face and full of CGI slop. Strange and weird short dialogues which don't make any sense at all and have like fake sympathy and empathy in them not genuine emotions.

Greenland 2: Migration (2026)
Promising start then going downhill. If natural disaster were the villain in the first movie, this time is just cameo.

On the other hand, hoping this sequel won't be as boring as the first one

Look at the nominations for best picture at the oscars this year. Diabolically bad. At best you have a few just about decent movies in there, but ones you'd never watch again. Rest is forgettable to poor.

From recent watches

Cruella (2025)
Not your usual Disney lalala movie. It's Disney with DC movie depth. Many brilliant scenes. Great work on depicting Cruella as an evil genius.

Iron Lung (2026)
Never played the game, but it was a great atmospheric horror movie.

The Strangers: Chapter 3 (2026)
The anti climax of the trilogy. Felt like an ending stretched out with many fillers in it.

Delivery Run (2024)
No wonder the vilain became a serial killer. All the other characters are so annoying and don't seem to have a functioning brain cells. Not to mention the main character is such a whiny loser, making me symphatize more with the killer.
