I've only watched a couple of anime shows, unfortunately:
Attack On Titan
Cowboy Bebop
Psycho-Pass

I've watched a couple of movies as well, but the amount of episodes in some of the series' are just overwhelming, haha
Ah, a man of culture I see. Attack on Titan my fav Anime of all time, then Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo. Also Psycho-Pass is amazing, Steins;Gate another masterpiece. Honestly, there should be an anime thread here.

It's a documentary but The Alpinist...(can't find a thread for these?)

The Alpinist (2021) - IMDb

Mind blown by the solo climbing and heart in mouth moments throughout. Compelling watch. Absolutely amazed by Mark Leclerk who's just at peace with everything he does.

Since S2 just started I decided to watch Superman and Lois. I was a little bit wary with the CW track record of their DC shows going from ok/bad to almost unwatchable. They still have tine to ruin it, but for now I am completely blown away. They actually didn't make Lois the toxic version of Felicity or Iris West and the show might be their best DC show to date. I really love Tyler Hoechlin as superman even if they did him dirty in Supergirl and the crossovers. He sells the role so good, probably more than Henry Cavill.

Hm. Didn't exactly get me excited. That said, you can't show the story in a 1-minute clip... I really really hope the story is incredible. But then again, they can't use Tolkien's stories in there if I remember correctly.

Peter jackson 2002: "We had no interest in putting our messages into this movie. But we thought we should honor Tolkien by putting his messages into it. "
^ Why the original trilogies where amazing.

McKay 2022: "“We wanted to adapt the book Tolkien never wrote.”
^why this is going to be a massive flop,

Needless to say I wholeheartily agree with one of my Favo Scottisch comedic reviewers and personally cannot wait not to watch this Tolkien Milk Cow.

Which streaming service is offering this one? And. What do you mean [they did him dirty] in Supergirl?

I just finished the fourth season of The Sinner on Netflix and again it's a very well written and paced show. Love how each season tells it's own story. Bill Pullman plays his character outstanding.

Very much depends where you live I think Hulu and those are some UK options:

In two words they made him a punching bag. Its very common problem with DC CW shows. The Flash, Supergirl also very often get the same treatment. They cant seem to find a balance with not making them too strong so the shows would be kind of boring, so they rather make them comically weak and stupid. I only watched Arrow till the end and basically gave up on the other shows a few seasons ago.

I am not even that much into comic books, mostly the animated shows and movies and I do read/watch some comic lore both DC/Marvel and the CW managed to do so much wrong. I don't know a single comic book fan that didn't cringe when Supergirl and Batwoman proclaimed themselves as the worlds finest which was a direct 'nod' [dig] at Superman and Batman and World's Finest Comics which featured them.

Anyways, in this show they managed to capture perfectly Clark Kent/Supermans good nature and true power where he did my favourite Superman thing by admitting he always holds back his true power scared of what the feeling of his true power might make him do. Also they made him properly strong, a true Superman people wanted to see in live show/movie for a long time, but also the nicest person you will ever meet.

This superman by far one of the best ever written, they adapted the Silver Age Superman that had no limit to his powers, but also his best version that is humble and has that inherent goodness.

There is a bit of family drama, but that's kind of typical for today tv shows and it's on the subtle side .

Thanks for the response.

I stopped watching the Flash because the storyline didn't progress. Every season was the same timetravel blah blah. The first few were good but it went down fast.
I also stopped watching Supergirl.
Arrow is the only one I made it to the final season but stopped before the crossover episode because in the Netherlands some episodes are missing. Can I skip that episode and still follow up to the series final without missing things?

Pretty much yeah last season is mostly in about after the crossover, his daughter following his footsteps. I only watched it because of Amell, he had a darker batmanish kind of character and he is actually the 'Batman' of this universe/timeline. I found even Arrow unwatchable at times, but Amell was amazing, also David Ramsey made a great original character as John Diggle. They carried the show basically.

I watched the series Fargo recently. Pretty awful in almost all aspects, not even worth my time for a proper review there's just too much to cover.

The worst part about it is that before every episode it states 'This is a true story, names have been changed to respect the dead but events are told exactly as they happened' - this is a total lie. The story is 100% fabricated, not even a real story thats just been sensationalized, it's a complete fiction. What is the director playing at? Decieving the viewer into thinking this is some edgy remake of a twisted horror story, only to find it out it's some dumb invention from the writers which makes no sense and is executed poorly. 4.2/10

Ozark - Season 4 (Part 1)

I’ve really enjoyed this series since the beginning and it is one of the very few good shows Netflix has been able to do, but since season 3 I feel it kinda fizzled out. I feel that real character growth and development took a back-seat in order to achieve a “sympathetic” and “familiar” tone that leaves events with an unrealistic and illogical feeling for me. For instance, spoilers ahead,
Darlene shoots the guy’s penis off and the next thing you know is that they agreed to do business together, wtf. Another example is Wyatt deciding to leave Darlene and go with her sister and then, 15 minutes later, circles back to her due to “reasons”, marries a psycho and then gets killed.

I am glad it is coming to an end soon. If it would've lasted longer it would’ve turned into a totally forgettable show. Still, it would be wrong for me to say I haven’t enjoyed following some of these characters and I hope they give it a proper ending next month.
