Nadir has got me absolutely nodding my head when that bassline came in! Did not expect such a pick-up of pace, even though I did listen to it once or twice beforehand, during the feedback phase. Great release incoming!

The Hobby Shop tracks sound like a style of trance I've been wanting to return for years. 2004-2006 drive and rawness but still with some melody. I'd maybe tone down the hats and tweak some other things, but if this is your first release ErickOU then you are off to a flyer

I have to show my gratitude to @NameLessYet and @Sean Cong. It's definitely a huge release in the trance community this year, and None Of The Tracks Are Bad.

"Papillion" reminds me of some tracks in the album "Think About Myself" by Cosmic Baby. Sometimes, the melody and arps recede into the background, twinkling, and the lonely piano sound comes to the forefront. It's melancholy, musical and good for immersive listening, though its structure is a little bit random and tedious for me -- I can still remember how the Avalon 62 Remix realized the potential of the melody.

"Echoes Above" is an interesting classic-inspired uplifting track with strong mainstage club vibe. Its percussion arrangement is mature and fierce, and the lead reminds me of Sasha's "Xpander". Maybe it can be a club killer.

"Nadir" is one of my favorites in this EP. Musical, atmospheric and confident, just like the classic uplifting released on Anjunabeats during 2006-2008. And it is even better at sound design. The echoing dreamy sound in the intro caught me instantly. I love how the melody is syncopated -- it makes the sound breathe and float. As the track progresses, the music graduallly delves deep into my consciousness.

"Solar" has a strong intro. I love the electro-sounding bassline cohering with the Pointillism acid. Its melody seems to be eastern influenced, which is definitely up my alley.

"Papillion (Narel Edit)" is a decent track. It sounds less random than the original one. All the sounds cohere harmoniously and smoothly. It's reasonable to be gentle and conservative as a "last track".

fav: 2 3(!)
good: all the tracks

The Papillion track is one of my favorites ever on the label. Just something about the chill atmosphere and serene feeling that really worked for me. Love the vocal, piano and the unconventional bendy synth that comes in later. Narel's version just tightened things up so much more from a sound design perspective and structure. Hard for me to pick which one I prefer, but love both either way.

For Hobby Shop and Wilson tracks I just love the basslines instantly, and all are type of classic sounds I want to release as much as I can. Lots of character and nice details.

'Papillion' is my favourite sound-wise. however, during my first listen, around 7:35 minute, I had to check if I wasn't playing two tracks at once on my computer. that feeling strongly returns around 9:30 minute, I think there should be done some more work on those parts.

Well, I have to admit I like "Papillion". The thing truly makes music special and musical is composer's identity rather than perfection, IMO. "Papillion" is special and different from the songs I usually listen to, it reminds me a lot about Torakka's "Far Out Express" -- talented and free to express.;)

Great EP of producers doing what they want; that’s what it’s about, right? Why we got started in this? I’m glad we got Papillon over the line; the lead got stuck in my head for over a day while I was working on the edit. Such a pretty tune.
Both Hobby Shop tracks are classy explorations of the edgier peripheries of the melodic stuff. And Daryl’s track is everything good about trance that has been forgotten by the 2.0 crowd.
