New compilation is coming around August ! Mixed by Markus Shulz, Giuseppe Ottaviani and Sunlounger. Can't wait to hear it.

I can see that they went all out with the cover this year, just like the previous edition...
To be honest, I've never really listened to anything else than ASOT compilations, so I might try this one out.

I completely lost all interest in ISOS after #7 - everything from that point on sounds like every other progressive/deep house compilation with no room to breathe. Even the first cd on #7, which tipped its toes into those genres, felt way more refreshing and melodic than anything after that.

Orkidea's mix last year was well worth listening to.

I don't see how Schulz's or GO's style would fit into this style imo. Although compilations are few and far between these days, so most likely i'll take a listen to it when it comes out either way.

We already know how the Ottaviani mix will sound like, and Schulz's efforts in the past two editions have been mediocre at best. Maybe Sunlounger will provide us something decent.

I agree on the @Katadunkass post above, it was all over after Tiesto and there where some humorous efforts in the Durand "era" which ruined the whole legacy of ISOS. They should have just stopped it after #7, which was awesome.

I won't be surprised how Shah's CD will have compositions based on Magic Island and FSOE : D

More details about the Sunlounger mix:

I will definitely have a listen, but I'm not that optimistic. I didn't particularly liked the Sunlounger chillout remix of "Unbreakable" released some days ago, and I'm afraid that will be one of the tracks in the CD.

Anyway I think this compilation, even though not nearly as good as it once was, is still quite good. Or let's just say above average at least.
The Durand iterations were quite underrated imho, I found #11 - Las Vegas quite amazing.
Also the more recent Schulz's mixes are not that bad, there are some nice tunes in there.

I'll most likely get me a copy of this one. Especially looking forward to the Markus and GO discs.

This! Sure, those compilations might not be for everyone, but personally they've grown on me. While they're not as good as the original ones by Tiësto, they're still great compilations. The same goes for these newer ones (vol 14 and onwards) I'd say.

ISOS has completely died after Tiesto. They even need three djs and don't reach any of the magic that Tiesto had.

The fact that 5 seconds before sunrise is not on this ISOS series, says enough.

BTW, great to see Marco Torrance appearing on this release 😀

Jeez, way too much ‘sunrise’. In the titles, wordplays.

I actually did find the first Durand not the worst effort. But yeah, this series is dead.

To be honest, the track I've been looking the most forward to, isn't even on the mixed version, instead it's digital only. I'm talking about the chillout mix of GO - 8K, which he uploaded to youtube more than a year ago. The full version never got a release in any way - until now that is.
Oh and in case you're looking at the duration - yes, that track really is 30 minutes long, so your eyes are not deceiving you :D

Had a listen to all three mixes today. Schulz's and GO's mixes are very forgettable unfortunately. The downtempo Sunlounger mix is pleasant-sounding but doesn't offer much excitement. The downtempo version of 8K is stellar though.

Pointless post of the day award 👏🏻
So, are you the square or the triangle?

Perhaps I could interest you in some "Pointless Topology"?

Here's a PDF file with a Bulletin document written by Peter T. Johnston about the subject

If you are more of a listener there's a video for you as well on Vimeo

Perhaps you are talking about the british television show from 2000 instead?
