Damn, thats sad.

May he rest in peace. Very much a legend and sort of a musical icon.

I think these two songs in particular symbolises "passing away" in a musical context .Grieving, longing, sentimental ,a bit sad but also alot of hope "not the end" sort of.

I'm not a fan of his music nor do I know it very well (not from my time), but I know he's a big name and a big inspiration for many, including Trance artists.
Rest in Peace.

That's no excuse! I would highly recommend watching Blade Runner (1982), a timeless movie that is still visually and sonically stunning to this day, and the set an almost impossible standard for dozens of dystopian sci-fi movies that followed. It's also a good story too, don't let the sci-fi element put you off if that's not your thing.

NO FUCKING WAY. This man created what I still think is the greatest soundtrack of all time for the original Blade Runner. He made so many good tracks, which have carried me through some hard times - fuck, that's sad :(

It is not too many days since I actually played Rachel's Song to slow things down before going to sleep...

I have to admit there aren't too many tracks from Vangelis in my playlists though. Chariots Of Fire, Conquest Of Paradise... and couple of tracks from the glorious Blade Runner soundtrack.

Orkidea made nice trance remix for this back in the days, but the original is also glorious

Also quite enjoy this one

Yeah I'll definitely watch it when I have the time. I once watched Bladerunner 2049 with a streamer's chat (in a secret special place he has for movies) and it was kinda weird but I loved the aesthetics. So I might give the OG a shot.
Funnily enough my dad has the Vangelis Themes CD like in the post above!

Both Vangelis and Klaus Schulze passed away in a difference of a month such a shame seeing such pioneers die.

RIP to the both of them.
