The 2007 Sean Tyas remix is at least as good:

I've never liked the Cosmic Gate remix from the same year, which IMO is both overrated and overplayed:

It'd sound way better if they remixed it in 2005/2006. A melody like this begs for a banging 140 BPM remix, not something like that.

The Cosmic Gate Remix itself is a classic. Thats a huge achievement when remixing a classic.

Its one of the best remixes ever, when talking about remixes of trance classics.

Well, that's something I'll never understand. If anything, that title belongs to the Sean Tyas remix. The intensity is through the roof in that one.

I think the original version has much charm, especially because it doesn't sound like a Tyas 140 BPM banger. The original feels like it just has more room to breathe, and the strings during the climax are nice.
The Cosmic Gate remix feels very "ASOT"-like. Their interpretation is fine and fits with Cosmic Gate's sound from that year, but it's not exactly faithful to the original.

For me, it's original > Sean Tyas remix > Cosmic Gate remix.

The Sean Tyas remix is generic as fuck, but nostalgic. The Yves Deruyter remix never really takes off otherwise it would have been amazing, such a big shame. Thrillseekers remix is probably the best version, the rest of the versions are nothing special imo
