Me first: Simon Patterson, Will Atkinson, and some persons I cant remember their name
Reason: What kind of person enjoy this style? Sound absolutely trash, and lifeless, insensitivity.

Hes not overhyped for me,he was my favourite producer around 2018,made some really good tracks. Overhyped for me means guys who make just average stuff, but seem to be elevated to a level by the public.
And that's what I mean he produced some really good music for a while. Which is the last song from him that you like. Recently he is all over the place with very mediocre music, but still regarded as the best.

Tbh i dont listen to any modern Trance anymore hehe. I havnt seen many people say hes the best recently,he seems to go under the radar if anything. I still appreciate all the live studio stuff he did..not many other producers did that,or have done that since.

Markus Schulz, I tried listening to his albums and compilations a number of times over a course of 15 and everything is just utterly boring. When non EDM people say all electronic music is the same I get what they are saying when listening to Markus, the definition of boredom. All the songs just blend into a single endless piece of of lifeless music.

PS He managed to do the same to the ISOS series after he took over.

I definitely know what you mean. The only side of Markus I really like is his pre 2002 vinyl only stuff. Those were highly professionally produced and haunting pieces of music but alas none of them really got any exposure and remained in the niche state until, who knows they're re-released digitally.

Interesting thread, "hate" is a strong word though, i do not think i am capable of hating someone just because i dont like their music :)
When it comes to names, I see a clear pattern with several producers: Once they appear in the scene, they create some wonderful music, but very soon fall into stagnant producing either the same track over and over again or just lacking any creativity.
Markus Schulz is great example here. Once he appeared into scene until 2005 "Without You Near" (which was one of my favorite albums and brought sort of new style to trance), he hasnt produced anything interesting. It has been especially terrible in recent 5 years.
Same with Aly & Fila, really liked their first album, nothing interesting since then as it is sort of just reproducing the same tracks.
Can easily list like 10 producers, who fall into same category, John Askew, Gareth Emery, Andy Moor, Simon Patterson, John O'Callaghan etc.
And of course there are producers, who I never liked, not a single track, but for some reason became really popular, Bryan Kearney, Arctic Moon, Allen Watts, ReOrder, RAM just to name a few.
Giuseppe Ottaviani is interesting case though, he was for years on the previous list, but in recent times, he has produced some really interesting tracks, so unlike most, I have really started liking him much more.

Hate is a strong word. No hate here. In my country pop music is the most overrated and the only time I get very frustrated.

Armin Van Buuren I think is the most overrated electronic artist at the moment

I don't "hate" him, but I never saw anything special in Jorn van Denhoyven. His tracks all sound super boring and generic, including the one which made Armin cry.

I need to make a correction I also don't hate GO since I actually like a lot of his songs. I just don't think he is this secret master of trance music that everyone says he is. That's just me, for example imo Craig Connelly > Giuseppe Ottaviani, but I know most people will disagree and that's just fine.

The thread title should just be "Overrated producers" indeed.

Not sure what you mean by that but Markus wasn't a newcomer back in 2005 as he had been producing easily for 10/15 years before that. As mentionned in my previous post, his Plastik/Eve and all related sublabels (most of which I personnaly own on 12'') was ace progressive trance/house. He then got more into a mainstream sound after 2003 which is where I lost interest.

Even back in 2005 and Linkin' People he was quite a generic producer. Can't say more of the Nu-NRG sound, never been my thing.
