and speaking from IRL experience...I rather have a collegue who knows his inhibitions/limitations yet when the need is high rises to the occasion, then a confident blond bimbo who, when the chips are down, falters.

Got a nice little crate lined up for my next gig this Friday! The person before me is doing melodic techno and the person after me is doing uplifting trance - I really wanted to do the latter myself this time as I still haven't played a straight uplifting set, but I took it as a challenge and went for a sort of uptempo progressive vibe.

Now I just need to actually practice playing...

Finally passed my Cybersecurity Certificate but at this rate I want to do something away from IT altogether and a screen all day.

I might take up learning piano a full time job from books and teachers.

1 more week of work before our office shuts down for 2 weeks over xmas. Going back to New Zealand for a week next Sunday, which I'm really excited about. Last time we were there was right before covid happened. Also nice that it'll be a 3 hour flight instead of 30. Honestly it's not been the best year as we lost our dog back in August and my wife's still taking it pretty hard. I miss that chonky little diva

I've been trying to force a move for a couple of years now, to some place in the US where a mountain is accessible within max 30mins, and looks like its going to be happening. Originally thought Washington state would be the one, but after exploring it last year my wife was not convinced, so now were going all in on Colorado and she seems ready for it. My goal is to be living there by October, but have a trip planned in July to confirm the town we have chosen is right. It was so hard finding a place that worked for both of us and all the needs.

I need a vacation urgently — my skin is craving a little color! I’ve been reading plenty of articles on https://mary4.beauty/blog, so I know that using sun protection is absolutely necessary, and I’ll definitely be careful. But honestly, I’ve missed the sun so much. Just thinking about feeling warm rays on my skin and spending a few hours outside makes me excited. I feel like a proper getaway would do wonders for my mood too, not just my tan. It’s been far too long since I soaked up some sunlight, and I really need that little boost of vitamin D and relaxation.
