Are covid tests easy to get where you are? I would think about getting one, but I have no clue what the process is like where I'm at or how expensive it is
edit: yikes, you mentioned the lines for that are long. Okay, that sucks. In that case, I hope this is temporary and you get better soon.

Yeah, I got better already. My nose is stuffed and I can't smell anything. Other than that, I feel perfectly healthy. The symptoms I mentioned before have all passed, this is the only new one.

Serology/antibody test is a bit less than 20$ in a private clinic, and they haven't been certified to do PCR tests - only the state hospitals can do that and it's 50-60$ on request; if the doctor 'prescribes' it, I guess it's free if you're insured.

Three days ago i got sick (muscle and joint pain, headache, 37.9°C temperature) so my first thought was COVID. My mom works in hospital so immediately got tested - it was free and no waiting on lines. The doctor who examined me was 100% convinced it's COVID. Both of us tested negative. The whole day i was bedridden but recovered fast. Today i am feeling great.

Can't wait for the vaccine. I am surprised how many people in my country are reluctant to take it, even medics.

What test did you do? Well, at least you might be immune to it for a while, which is never a bad thing.

My sense of smell still hasn't come back though...

PCR. My mom arranged it for free otherwise it's 60-70$ here.

I know that losing sense of smell or taste is a key symptom for COVID.

Oh, well the PCR is sort of a gold-standard here. Surprising that you tested negative for it, but maybe it was the timing or something. Losing your sense of smell isn't exclusive to COVID-19, it can happen in any respiratory infection (but the only one circulating around is this one, so...).

Be warned though, losing a sense of smell and taste can last from a couple of days to a couple of months, and even then it may not come back fully or operate at 100% anymore. Sucks.

I don't believe i have immunity.I If i had it the symptoms would last longer. Took two Paracetamols during the day and all my symptoms were gone on the next day. Barely had any social contacts last weeks. My mom don't show any symptoms. She thinks that the chance for false negative result is very slim.

Cleaned out my keyboard today. Never did that with this one, had it for years now. Popped out all the keys and what I found there was horrifying. Lots of food and hair residue. Now it's like brand new!

Worst NYE ever. Doesn't have to do anything with the year itself. We went out clubbing in the middle of the day, but once everything was closed we weren't up for shit. Three of us guys, sleepy/half drunk, without anything interesting to do or anyone else to talk to, so I went home at least. Can't wait to get up sober the next morning and crush the next month.

Holy Santa's balls, sports has been on my screen since 15:30, and it's almost 2:30 now. Three more hours until I'm done for the week...

That moment when you realize someone from college would have been a great match for you but you've already graduated

My friend just got his driver's license and a car, at 26, and in a week or two he started wildin'. Drives like a lunatic, yet he still can't properly shift gears and such; he hasn't really nailed the simple mechanics such as shifting gears, being in control of the pedals and the wheel (and especially when you need to do everything at once), not to mention being aware of the traffic around you and being able to predict what is gonna happen regarding traffic.

I mean it's pretty clear he's still a newb and a bit insecure about it, but he overcompensates to the point where I think he's gonna be in a car crash one of these days. And if I would say something, he'd just get more insecure about it and the cycle continues. There's another layer to that, when I was starting around and even before, I had my dad with me and he'd always throw in some advice so I learned how to behave in traffic and how to drive properly. His dad probably didn't think about that stuff, now he's probably "taught" by his colleagues or friends that don't know better.

Just yesterday he learned how to get into 5th gear (!!!), he doesn't always stay in the lane, can't turn the wheel and change gears at the same time, he doesn't recognize when he should be in what gear, when he overtakes he gets into his lane too soon (almost to the point of the car crashing into him), he isn't in control of his pedals - he's too aggressive on the gas and too late on the brakes. These are things that come with time and experience, and these are ok and fixable. But then there's the overcompensating part.

He drives up to 130 when the limit is 80 (for him it's 72), and 80 when the limit is 50 (for him 45). Doesn't use indicators when there's multiple lanes, is too aggressive overall with changing lanes and overtaking... And just these things put him in even more danger. He behaves like he's had his license for 40 years.

Traveled with him today and yesterday, and I really hoped the police would catch him and revoke his license. Even with all of this, he's not that bad, just a beginner, but it's the overcompensation part that really makes me wonder if I should sit into his car again. Managed to at least make him fix some things but the attitude is still there. Don't know what to do.
