For a couple of hours now, been looking up SSDs and RAM. Having an internal battle on whether to buy them or not.
For the sake of simplicity, let's round things up and say that a relatively cheap 1 TB SSD costs around 120 $, and the 8 GB RAM around 80 $. I can finance one or the other right now, whereas my employed bro will have to splash up for the rest, which I'll slowly but surely pay off.
Due to the limitations of my motherboard, I can only get a SATA3 SSD, and 8 GB of DDR3 RAM @ 1600 Hz. I'm not really expecting any huge performance improvements, but it will make it easier on my laptop and my nerves, especially regarding multitasking and loading times. I'm very much aware that my CPU is the next big issue as well, but since I believe it's soldered to the motherboard I pretty much have no choice.
But, as can't buy a new laptop right now due to tight money, it is what it is... This is the best I can do right now.
