No, they've got it wrong. This is entirely a work problem - a problem of how employees have been exploited by their employers and, in many cases, customers. It's not a work problem, it's a worker problem
In Government jobs too not just retail or fast food industry. I just saw the minimum wage in America is $7.25 which is about $10.05 AUD compared to Australia's minimum wage which is $20.33 AUD which is $14.45 which is double that. I feel I have been exploited and I pushed my body to the limit and I am paying heavily for it and I now regret putting so many others first rather than myself and this has affected my ability to find a partner as well and I am being punished for it.you can figure out the answers by browsing r/antiwork and r/recruitinghell.
Lots of people who quit just left for better jobs (better pay, benefits, work-life balance)
People in hospitality (incl. restaurants/fast food), retail, and nursing quit. The jobs in these industries pay crap, deal with increasingly entitled customers, have a high risk for COVID. You are more likely to find abusive treatment from bosses and your company in those industries.

If I had studied what you did, I would go 100% WFH hahaha. I can see how WFH would be annoying, though, if you don't have an ergonomic chair or just don't like spending 8 hours at home.I had to work from home last week, and after 2 months of working from office, I've seen just how everything I have at home...sucks hairy balls. Starting from the simple things like the desk and the chair which just made me uncomfortable last week, to the monitor and its appalling resolution and refresh rate, then the laptop (luckily I got one from the company), the mouse and keyboard, the ergonomics of it all... I literally can't even sit at my desk anymore, and I'm not kidding here. I can't even bother to turn on my old laptop. It's just painful. Just shows how good I have it at the office.
Same here. Its not even that the utlities are better suited for the job. In my line of work you have to spar with your collegues. critizise one another, sketch over someone's ideas etc. Designs rarely come to full fruition with just one person doing everything. especially the complex ones. That's the thing, it's not all that. I even enjoy working at the office. I can't be an antisocial programmer.
Oh yeah, I get that. Get better man, hopefully it's mild or moderate and your family stays healthy as well.Same here. Its not even that the utlities are better suited for the job. plus when i'm at home my spouse is usually like " you work to hard! play more with your son"
currently stuck @ home with the rona and can almost see the mountain of work piling up from not being at the office.

Which is why people should be given the option to go fully WFH, hybrid, or fully at the office!Oh yeah, I get that. Get better man, hopefully it's mild or moderate and your family stays healthy as well.
I get where he's coming from, but I have issues with his assertions and suggestions.
Tnx yeah its basically the flu. Couple of days in bed. same as last timeOh yeah, I get that. Get better man, hopefully it's mild or moderate and your family stays healthy as well.
Same here man, or at least it was during the first half of January. Bed-bound on odd days, on my legs on even days. Very strange. But ultimately, flu-like symptoms, quick test was negative (but possibly falsely so, due to its limitations). Recovered almost fully in about 7-8 days.Tnx yeah its basically the flu.
