After literally YEARS, I'm going on a well-deserved holiday. Feels really nice just to allow myself to have one. A hundred things could make it less great than it could be, but even then I'll be absolutely offline for 4 days.

Just the mindset shift from "I don't deserve it" to "I do" feels awesome, almost untouched nature is just a bonus.

Came back yesterday from the trip.

Absolutely overwhelmed with so many different emotions.

The village I stayed at is so old, the houses look like they were deserted and forgotten before WW2. There are no young people there, just old(er) people who live the same life every day - working on little pieces of land, and making milk and cheese out of their cattle (cows and sheep). The domestic animals are absolutely free to roam the entire mountain range - the cows, sheep just go around and eat grass, dogs follow tourists on their hikes... Everything just feels slow and at peace.

The days are warm, the nights are cold, the nature is harsh and untouched, yet welcoming and absolutely gorgeous.

Pushed myself to the limit physically and mentally, constantly had to overcome fear (and failed twice and gave up), climbed the highest peak of Serbia (if you exclude Kosovo & Metohija) at 2169m, climbed up to see Serbia's biggest waterfall at 232m, and generally just hiked as much as I could. Lots of dangers involved, including getting caught off-trail in the dark, steep slopes, wild animals (venomous snakes being the biggest threat) - luckily we encountered none, technically demanding and dangerous trails... Lots of things could've gone wrong and a lot of them would've meant at least a serious injury. Luckily, nothing did and we had an amazing time.

We were always in a hurry though, trying to see as much as we could. Almost no time to enjoy, reflect or process. It was a rush - a damn good one - but what I missed was a day (or two) when we would just get out and enjoy everything - the air, the silence, the weather, the views...

At one point I just fantasized about buying/building a house there somewhere and working from there. That's how great the place is.

I do not think we'll go back though - the country is full of amazing places to discover, but I think I'll always remember this trip.

Here are some more images:

I had my last school exam today (not the finals, I'll be doing those in 2 years), which means that if I choose not to redo them, my holidays have unofficially started.😄
Time flies, had my last final this Monday. Right now I have to wait until the 9th of June to hear whether I've graduated or if I need to redo one. Though, I'm not really worrying about whether I passed but more about what grades I got for them, If all went well then I get to enjoy a nice 3+ month summer holiday.

Really hoping I can extend my work as a mailman to the rest of the week as opposed to just Saturday because I am so incredibly bored at the moment lmao.

So I got my rejection email for my internship in Anjuna. It says they had overwhelming response and so many talented applicants...

Shame I really thought I had a chance of getting the job if I can reach the interview part.

How does he have so many health bars? the fuck. He's an international criminal - he should have been in prison long ago.

Fresh eggs (1 dozen): $0.45 ($7.01 in today’s dollars)
- White bread (1 pound): $0.09 ($1.40 in today’s dollars)
- Sliced bacon (1 pound): $0.43 ($6.70 in today’s dollars)
- Round steak (1 pound): $0.43 ($6.70 in today’s dollars)
- Potatoes (10 pounds): $0.86 ($13.40 in today’s dollars)
- Fresh delivered milk (1/2 gallon): $0.28 ($4.36 in today’s dollars)

Interesting despite WW2 and the great depression and Vietnam war the price of food really went up after 80's and 90's
