I am slowly but surely going through the links on this thread. Of course, many tracks have been lost in time like tears in rain, but this era gives so many stellar tracks. I'd go even as far as to say that 1994 is one of my favourite years in trance. I'd say it is possibly due to the combination of still having the charm of early hypnotic trance and already emerging melodic side with the advances of technology.

Some tracks from the pre-1995 era just for fun.

Blue Planet Corporation - Overbloody Flood (1993) (Okay, this is remastered version)

Earth Nation - Alienated (Earth Mix) (1994)

Odyssee Of Noises - Firedance (The Sunrise) (1994)

And when not thinkling their later sins and stupid (but sometimes damn catchy) pop dance music they are mostly known for, Scooter's 1994 Rhapsody In E is a magnificent trance with stunningly good piano melody.

I love the Planet Love comps! They're pretty well put together for casual listening too, flow kinda nicely as albums themselves.

^ First floor deadlock is from 1999!

I'd say a more appropriate cut off point for this thread is 1996. That's really the year when trance in the 90s becomes predominantly more orderly in structure and less experimental compared to the previous years.

Goa trance from the first half of the 90s was especially good, arguably the golden age for that sub-genre.

From 1994:

Fantastic track from the legendary 'Labworks' label, released in 1993.

S.D.L. - Space Traveller
Oh man that is so good. It's not often I get flabbergasted by a track but this is the real deal. Got that rawness and high creativity of early 90s trance, plus the emotional impact. Well produced too.

Available to purchase on bandcamp:

Renegade Legion - Weeping Waste (1993) - Couldn't believe this one was released in 1993. Remastered in 2021:

Forgotten classic.. in the Germany, 'Weeping Waste' was the peak time bomb... played by all key players of the time: Sven Väth, Mark Spoon, Laurent Garnier etcetc

Here a 'Harthouse' classic from 1992:

Overboust - Tribal Interphase

Lieb has so many good tracks and remixes, this is an interesting one from 1995. A lot of unique sounds in this uptempo prog beaut.

Not sure if there is a better topic for this.

But I came across this track from... 1982 or something. A remix of I Feel Love. But it has a great early trance feeling to it. A lot of experimental sounds going on here.

a new vinyl reissue is out via 'Transmigration' label:
Ultra rare techno trance from the UK’s Alan Hill. Elliptical Headz was a once off project that flawlessly blends lush synthesis with tasteful exotic sampling and robust drum programming.
Originally released on Junkanoo Recordings in 1993, all tracks have been faithfully remastered for modern use and licensed in collaboration with the artists family.
