meh...sounds like it goes in the footsteps of the more mediocre second sinlge of his.

Will wait with final judgement though.

Will give these a chance when they are out in full. Sounds to me like 2010 trance, which I quite liked.

The foundation, build and arrangement is pretty solid, the break has some magic but its PREDICTIBLE and safely constructed wihtout surprises. It has the same issues as Hutan vs Matahari for me and that shows how small things can get a tune from a 6 or 7 to a 9 out of 10. Especially the drums+bassline feels lazily arranged and the overall rhythms of it all feels a bit like a snoozefest. It lacks a bit of punch+boldness and also some energy and tension is missing. I really liked the boldness of Hutan.

Its good but doesnt reach great for me.

Would agree. A pretty good track. Would fit straight into ASOT 2010. But I'm a bit over this style now.

I somehow missed the original back then. but thanks to Solarstone show I listened to it. They are all equally solid, pretty good actually. Alan Banks remix might by my favourite, since original is quite empty at places and Hoopoe is trying to recycle his sound from the latest production.
So it would 7-8/10 range for all the versions.

Pshhhh, nothing mediocre about Matahari, what you on. I prefer it to Hutan probably, just about.

This one not as strong as the former two but still awesome job for his first remix. Let’s hope we get an original too.

I remember the original well now I hear this. It was popular in this place wasn’t it? This remix by Hoopoe neaely slipped by me, it’s awesome. He has a baseline you can easily pick up on and the synths sound beautiful. But More energy and faster rhythm would have taken it up a few pegs, it does feel empty and loose tension at parts. No biggy though, I will be playing this for months I’m sure.

Oh and p.s Matahari > Hutan

Not as good as his originals (but let’s face it not much is). Still top.

Share the same opinion as others on Hoopoe remix, pretty good but not as good as the originals from him. More energy and pace would improve it, slightly less straightforward approach too.

Hutan - 8.7
Matahari - 8.6
Remix - 7.5
