Oh my...I have trouble installing and running Winamp on Windows11. I did/do love the simplicity of it, but it's just not running fine any more unfortunately.

What do you guys use for playing MP3/WAV's on your Windows PC? Any alternatives?

I use my own vibe coded app and actually I have winamp simulation. I went to Claude.ai and just prompted my way. For me prompt is : write me a program in Rust or Python or modern web version of a winamp with this or that feature. I usuallly go to Gemini to refine a prompt. With some prompting and some programming , I made my own executable app from desktop and program menu.

Awesome, I was thinking of doing the same thing. Itunes has got really bad as updates roll in, but does have some nice things about it in the UI and ease of use. I've always been tempted to build my own one so might give that a shot. Your's look any good? Why did you want to build one?

I use AIMP for my offline music listening purposes, and I downloaded it after lots of research. Nowadays though, offline music listening on my PC amounts to very little, and I don't even care what I use anymore.

For music??? Sounds gross as fuck.
Nah it works like a charm 👌 the only annoying thing is when you start the app with playlist on by default, the playlist section of the ui fills the entire screen uppon start 🤣

but seen as I work with 2/3 screens 90% of the time it’s not an issue for me
