I know this an electronic music forum but I have a feeling, like me, that most of you will cherish the sounds of rock music and its various sub-genres too. I think it is the best music humanity has ever made, which is a statement I know, but from the 1960's right through to the early 2000's we got more than we could ever hope for. Every style and sub style gave us something worthy of a listening to.

Want to share your most treasured rock tracks? The ones that really stood out, that you cherish emotionally or have a quality you think puts it above the rest. Not just any good rock track you like. It could be any style, from death metal to punk, grunge to acoustic. Love to see what rock music touched the soul, like so many did for me.

(An obvious one, but reminds me of my childhood and my friend who showed me the track. We would smoke cigarettes and walk around our village singing and trying to learn the words in english, no internet to help us. The lyrics were powerful once I fully understood them)

Anything Alice in chains... Lead singer had the best voice (before the drugs finally won at a young age) and the Seattle sounds coming out of the 90s was my youth. Their acoustic set on MTV has had a alot of plays over the years.

From the guys who made "Heading Up High" with Armin van Buuren. Starts very calm, but gets more rock-ish later on. Very nice song!

There are soooo many good rock tracks out there, not just the obvious classics. I've always LOVED the 90's shoegaze-rock tracks from Catherine Wheel, Ride, The Jesus and Mary Chain and many more. One of my all time favourite albums is Chapterhouse's Whirlpool which features this lovely rocktrack. It was the first shoegaze-rock track I listened to and it introduced me to what eventually became my favourite subgenre of shoegaze.

I had completely forgot about this band/album. Discovered it late but fell in love with it quickly. Last Chance To Evacuate Earth is one of my favorites from that album.

Fun fact these guys grew up in the town next-door to mine. The area of small countryside towns outside of London was pretty great for bands of this kind of feel, I remember many 'battle of the bands' types of shows with local talent every month when I was growing up. Not sure if this generation has those kinds of things anymore. LTJ Bukem another 'neighbor' ha.

Pink Floyd Fearless. It is a very special track to me, it reminds me of summer time travelling through Turkey.

Epic performance. Went to watch this band with a few mates and was blown away by the vocals. This version of horses and the build is as good as it as live. Shame the vocalist doesn't sing with the band anymore.

Probably my no1 or no2 rock track of all time. It can soothe me in hard times, especially as the lyrics are about dealing with mental anguish, but also it's a painfully nostalgic experience which can make me feel a whole host of emotions, both joy and loss at the same time. A strong sense of lost youth. Watching the video especially does that, seeing Keidis so young and remembering being 15 and addicted to the Chilli Peppers.

Any Pearl Jam fans? There's a few I could select for 'most meaningful'. Indifference comes to mind, but it's not really rock at all. Oceans is another. The whole Ten album is very meaningful to me, its an incredible debut album. This one below is one I will never stop playing.
