I love Linkin Park but they are a fusion of rap and rock, pop rock and vinyl scratch and hip hop.

Been about 3 years but finally getting back into the gigging scene again, although really still just following the old bands I used to love around. Got to see Chili Peppers (4th time) in summer in Chicago. 2 highlights were Suck My Kiss and I Could Have Lied. Man those are two tracks I will really cherish forever, even more so now. Then got to see Incubus for a dream show @ Red Rocks Colorado last month. Man this blew my mind and was 10th time seeing them.
Now for 2023... I already secured Placebo, one of my fav bands of all time, and also Rage Against the Machine. Fucking lovely. And then to really tickle my nuts I also got tickets to this absolute beast below. Never seen SOAD and definitely bucket list. The fact that Incubus and Placebo also feature here is a huge win. Will also be checking out Korn, Cradle of Filth, Coal Chamber and hopefully catch Last Resort from Papa Roach. Can say that happiest moments of my life are at these rock gigs.

A track that probably did change my life. Friend showed me this track and became my first gateway to Soundgarden and all the heavy metal/grunge of the 90s, completely sending me trender 14 year old self towards new trajectory with friends, look, lifestyle etc. I couldnt get enough of it and nothing changed today. Still blasting it with the same friends.

Seeing System live last month has really reiginited my passion for them again. I think Toxicity was one of the first albums I ever had, must have been 11 or 12 or something and I would listen to it almost daily in bed as I read books and somehow fell asleep. I also remember Chop Seuy and Toxicity always being on TV music stations and just loving it more than anything. Those two tracks were definitely"life-changing" for me at that age.
These 2 from the recent show I saw really blew me away. Was just so aggressive and raw in the circle pit, which is probably the happiest place I can be in the world. The chorus of Deer Dance wast just explosive. BYOB ultra iconic moment.

Saw Tool last night - Awesome band, golden years Metal and the show they put one was really something. The first time in years I have seen a live band commit to all the lights, visuals and bells and whistles that used to be so common for larger venue performances in the past. Not the cheesey shit you see today, it was properly in sync with the music, atmospheric, not over the top, really moody but explosive when needed. Also great to see the solos and extended song versions come out too, something most of the bands I see today abandoned in the later stages of their careers
