One of the top trance tracks from 2010, and ASOT's #1 track for this year, beating even the behemoth Sanctuary by Gareth Emery. The vocals in this track appeared in multiple other productions, but this is likely the first instance in which they were used.
The track itself captures the essence of late 2000s/early 2010s trance while also sounding unique. It's progressive and organic with soothing piano chords and ethereal vocals.

As r/trance put it in their top tracks of the 2010s list:
This is such a different track to talk about compared to the others in our list. This was only the second label release by Yuri Vereschak and arguably his biggest, beating out Gareth Emery for #1 on ASOT’s Top 20 of 2010. But not much since then for Yuri; definitely nothing on the same level. And yet, even 10 years later, the magic of this song still remains. The soundflow of the vocals, the build up of the chorus, the piano…this track has to be on the defining list of melodic and progressive trance from this era.

Personally, never saw much discussion regarding this track back on the old forum. It's nice that we can now revisit it as a proper classic, though!

The first track I heard using those vocals was:

From JOOF's essential mix at the beginning of the year.
Heard the track and listened to the vocals - although they are similar in style, they're not the same, and they seem unrelated.
You can pull up the Right Back lyrics while listening to that track, and you'll find that no lines match.

Anyone know who sings the vocals? Or what their name is?
According to Discogs, the singer is Kate Walsh. She collaborated with Dash Berlin for When You Were Around.

Ive heard these vocals in for sure more than 5 songs.

These vocals can be bought in a sample pack from vocal foundry so it wasnt specifically made for yuri kane. He bought the pack and made the song i guess.

In fact so many well known songs are made from vocal samples that comes from packs.

Just a quick example from the top of my head:

Yeah, I first heard of this track in a post by @Hot Tuna in the "is sampling copying?" thread. Several tracks in the early 2010s used these same vocals, and I think someone even used them for a track released last year.

They're slightly chopped up and played at half speed, but the "in the story of our lives" (2:34) and "through colour glass" (3:17) lines stick out most clearly.
