it covers pretty much everything step by step...i'm a visual type of person and the ones i've seen on youtube are hard to follow for me...also you know anywhere i can get a full MIDI file of a track to study track structure and arrangement?

i will give it a shot...but i'm really really impatient and will pay for a proper tutorial...i like this particular one from sonic academy...

can you make some recommendations? most of what i've seen on youtube isn't very helpful...

oh and also i plan on learning music theory...that for me is the toughest part to grasp...

i'm planning doing all of that...

first, i'm going to learn logic (doing the tutorials from macprovideo to cut back on the learning curve...
second, reading the book "dance music manual" by rick snoman to learn how synthesizers work and learn production techniques...
lastly, i might do the sonic academy trance tutorials to further cut back on my learning curve for trance song structures and arrangements...

i'm almost done with my setup, just ordered a 27" monitor and that's the last thing i need...i'll post a pic for ya when i'm done!

it's cool man, i understand people get busy...WOW you learned in one year? how did you learn? how did you start off? i wanna learn to produce trance but not sure how to go about it...i'm a visual person so i'm thinking if i can get a midi file of an entire track and study the structure i can figure it out...i made one track in garageband but my weakness is in transitions between the different parts of a track any tips on how i should go about learning as a beginner?
