I don't follow. If you mean, there was bad and boring music back then, then of course. But the scene people discussed, followed, shared and celebrated was bursting at the seems with interesting deep music.

Maybe yes a response to big room techno, but also it's just a lack of vision on the producers part. The old scene never had this problem, it could be subtle and interesting, it wasn't a choice between the two. Atmosphere is one thing, but music is another. No one remembers this.

I can agree with this. What I did like I really liked, e.g the Peak Experience releases, but outside of a few other tracks it was slim pickings. Still, I am grateful for what we have, and for the community that shares here. Long live the underground, whatever form it takes.

It turned out so good. Follow, The Mist and Life Essence are top tier.
