A weekend in the studio. Glorious.
Track is called November.
Started it in January, finished it end of May, played it out a few times and never happy with how it sounded so here I am still tweaking it in August. But have set November release to force me to stop procrastinating and put it to bed.
The last 10% always takes 90% of the time. For me at least.
Now up to v32. Have swapped the kick and bass about 15 times in my quest for low end.
I wish I was more talented in order to get tot the finish line quicker but I quite enjoy the journey.
Was thinking of uploading all previous 31 versions of the track to Soundcloud so you can hear the journey and my processes.
For now I like where it’s at. Sounds way better than the version I played at VII Manchester which had more of a psy kick and bass and which sounded disappointingly flat and soulless on the night.
It’s now got more of a gritty warehouse vibe - which was always the aim.
