Hey, listening the whole track, it's very, very beautiful with nice progression. The previous small preview, in bad quality, it made it sound bad, but it's very good and Ecoist. I am definitely looking for the whole album.

Ok, maybe not really used to slow tracks from Eco, and maybe Solo does sound a bit unfinished, but it does sound good, and it does do something for me.

From Marcello:

This project first took shape in the darkest months of 2020, a song to fill late hours on the NYC subway. Levitating atmospheres dance around bright churning grooves, 'SOLO' hangs in the air like a morning haze, layered over 6 years pulling inspiration from artists like Harold Budd and Jon Hassell—a postcard from a dark star, sounds from a city at the edge of time.

terrible mixdown, the kickdrum disappears in all the mud during the drop, some parts sound almost disharmonic. if this wasn't eco, it would take like 5 seconds to a&r to turn it off and delete the demo lol

My friend @Shiningship who went to the Luminosity ADE this year asked Eco in person and he said that there will still be an album with two parts. Looking forward to it.

By the way, that's also the one who just talked with you. @EnigmaState

Eco is preparing to release two new albums, the first slated for release in early 2022. The second, with a difference of several months after the first album.

The Book of Life: Chapter I:I See/Hear

The Book of Life: Chapter I: Summer

The Book of Life: Chapter III:Crossroads

I think it's the original idea of this album. I am glad that the album didn't change its concept after many accidents. Hope the new album can still have the spirit, at least some tracks better than Let You Down.

Like ISOS is getting released in parts?

Who is the bad mastermind behind this decision at Black Hole?

I put my very good headphones and played a lossless version of it. Sadly I can't enjoy it. I feel like I need to struggle to listen to its melody. Too many groovy sounds that create a "cloud" noise. On the extended mix, on the first part of the track until the breakdown, the Wavy sound effect is way too loud imo. It takes out all the other sounds that consist the music. The breakdown is a just breakdown without building much. The next drop/climax part, as I said above, there are so many things going on, that I can hardly listen to the supposedly euphoric small melody.

I can understand and enjoy Solo even though I would prefer its melody to be louder there as well, but Cloud People is definitely not for me.

Btw it's absolutely crazy how crystal clear is M(You)Sic album tracks sound compared to Solo and Cloud People. Also not sure if it's a big problem from mastering or it is supposed to be like that.

Still, looking forward for the whole work.

It's not mastering, it's arrangement/mixdown issues, mastering can't do miracles to a poor mix. and yeah it's so obvious that you'd really think it has some purpose making the tracks so blurry and muddy. not to speculate but such major downshift in quality leaves a lot of questions, maybe his studio isn't as good now or even his ears, or else

M(You)Sic album isn't even that remarkable in terms of mixing, it's just on a good solid level you'd expect from an established producer

these 2 new tracks are terrible and it goes beyond matter of taste
