A character study with the world built through phone calls and jumpy camera angles. A neat and tidy drama which boxes away comfortably but never really fleshes out into something memorable. Tom Hardy being unable to break through the constraints given, much like his character. Limited but worth a watch.
6.5 / 10
Godzilla (2014 version)
Not a bad Godzilla film, a LOT better than the 1998 version thats for sure...
The relationships about the charachters was pretty 2d to be honest, but when you go to see a Godzilla film your there to see him and other monsters have a giant smackdown, and on this level it delivers...
In my opinion, not as good as Pacific Rim, but not bad.

Cute, feel good film documenting a young boys development from childhood to adolescence. I especially loved the concept of filming the film over 12 years as you genuinely watch Ellar Coltrance (who at times looks like a full size Peter Dinklage) grow up on screen. I've always wondered what it would be like to see this used in a film and in this instance, the director, Richard Linklater, has executed it to absolute perfection. The soundtrack is also excellent and reminds me a lot of my youth. 8/10
Transcendence was cool :) Good and bad isn't obvious and the plot is original compared to other A.I. movies.

I gotta stop watching these heart killers late at night.
A movie about a serial killer of 'working' girls who gets hunted down by a Pimp who thinks he's selling his girls. Both get taken in by police for questioning before ultimately being released into a cat and mouse chase to find the girl they were both hunting for different reasons.
Gory, gut wrenching and gripping in ways that keep you on edge right through till the end.
8/10

Such a lovely movie! Those who say that Jim Carrey can't act might want to double-check their statements. I enjoyed it from the start to the end. The ending was nice, and I really appreciate that it wasn't something over-dramatic, plot-twisting, mind-bending so that I don't have to search on Google what the fuck did I just watch.
I'm giving it at least 8.5/10.
I'm going on a South Korean movie marathon over the next 2-3 weeks so I'll let you guys know if there is anything palatable that I'd recommend :p
The Purge: Anarchy
8/10 Can't wait for the next one
Leprechaun: Origins which was pretty decent, much better then I expected it to be but still had a lot of problems.
Oldboy. The unbeatable king of South Korean movies.

Already seen a while back, the stuff I've got lined up looks just as promising if not more so :standard:
