Soldado fee has been agreed at just under 30M Euros, Initial payment of 14 with the rest as add ons and bonuses. Depending on what triggers those clauses it could be considered a good price I think.

Bale 93M€, this is crazy. It seems he is very close to Real Madrid since yesterday, but if we buy him, we need to sell Di Maria and I like him very much :(
He's a top striker and Valencia need cash. Our league is close to bankrupt (except Barça and Madrid) and our teams are spending their money in their young talents. That's a positive thing.
I'll be amazed if Bale leaves this summer, the reason for all the doubt and lack of confirmation is because he is negotiating a new deal with us. He is staying quiet to maintain a strong hand in that process. Even if that falls through he's tied here till 2016.
He's just secured sponsorship deals which depend on his UK presence.
He's got a young kid which he's repeatedly stated he doesn't want to uproot.
Our Chairman & club have held the same strong stance throughout.
Bale himself is quite level-headed. He's ambitious but not the kind to burn bridges.
I see him staying one more year.
As for the case of if he did go this summer I'd be fine as long as we're paid good money. In my mind he is already gone because it's clear to all involved its a case of when, not if. We desperately need a new full back & forward, these to me are more pressing issues.
We've gone one way under Levy and it's up. My biggest worry is actually him leaving. He's run us well and slowly but surely we've gained ground.

:( Brings it home, I am the same age and nowhere near as fit.Quote:
Ecuadorian striker Christian 'Chucho' Benitez has died, aged 27.
The forward spent the 2009-10 season on loan at Birmingham City, and was linked with a move back to the Premier League this summer but ended up moving to Qatar to join El Jaish.
He made his debut for the club last night, but was admitted to hospital with stomach pains shortly after.
He was diagnosed with appendicitis, but - according to his father-in-law Cleber Chala who spoke on Ecuadorian radio - this developed into peritonitis and complications led to a respiratory arrest.
"They called me at 3am to tell me that they had taken him to hospital as an emergency due to stomach pains.
"When he arrived, he was not seen to quickly.
"By the time he was admitted he was no longer responding. This happened in Qatar, my daughter is alone there."
Chala then tweeted: "A great has left us... You will live in our hearts forever Chucho."
Make your moments count.
R.I.P.
It's all happening.
Real have offered a world record fee of £90M + Fabio Coentrao for Bale. Levy is asking for 100 + the player.
Watch this space. :D
I think Real will sign Bale, and i'm wondering where he fits? He's left footed so he should be a natural threat from the RW but I believe he is a LW (C.Ronaldo's spot). Ancelotti has played Cristiano more central in pre-season, instead of isolating him on the Wing...where I think he is best.
Cristiano with his back to the goal isn't as prolific as he is down the flanks. I hope this doesn't change. I'm sure his output won't drop with Isco + Ozil + Alonso/Modric etc pulling the strings and he can finish like no other (unlike Benz) but I prefer him on LW.
Getting Bale is a pure future play, knowing that Ronaldo might leave next summer. And to offset the Neymar purchase of Barca. But I'm not sure they need him. A pure striker is needed and some help in defence...dont trust Pepe at all even though he shows signs of brilliance (Euro 2012), Ramos is very helter skelter too
Seems the money has influenced things. I am reading he is lined up to go, but will not happen until we've incoming announced and secured. Onwards and upwards.
Apparently we've assured the manager and incoming players that he will be a part of the club for this season. It represents a huge turn around and loss of face if so.
You just cant turn down that obscene amount of money can you.
Bale won't be going. The 80+ million bid is fabrication. The only offer we've had has been verbal with inclusion of 2-3 players of value < 15M each.
Bale hasn't asked to leave & we're still in talks over a new contract with him and his family still.
Reason he's so valuable? He's a marketing icon & he's actively taking steps to grow his status as one.

Ronaldo-Bale vs. Messi-Neymar :popcornbig:
That's why our president is turning crazy with Bale. It's better pay 100M for Bale than 45M for Alexis, for example.
Now it's official: Roberto Soldado is 'spur'. This summer our league has sold 13 Spanish players to Premier League, curious...
English Football League begins today..AAAAAAND MY BELOVED YEOVIL TOWN WIN 1-0 IN THEIR FIRST EVER GAME IN THE SECOND TIER. HUZZAH! :bananasplit:
