pop in the windows installation dvd and start the repair tool - maybe that helps fixing corrupt files
alternatively you can start the recovery console and run the system file checker

the system file (win32k) doesn´t really tell much about the cause of the BSOD
me, as a it-g, i´d pop in a linux and copy over the crashdump-file to check the stacktrace there.

you can try to test your RAM also, memtest86+ will do that.
fastest method would be popping out the ram and see if you get any further!

temperatures okay?

did you install anything new right before it happened? updates maybe?

it tries to start until the logon screen, i remember that behavior from some problems i had a few years back.
mostly this was software/hardware related (changes made)

try plugging out all uneccasary stuff and just boot without anything attached, maybe the problem is a peripheral device!

Played 5-aside football for the first time in a few months last night and my body is in absolute taters today. When you're not used to using those muscles your body gets a fright to say the least. I feel like I've gone 10 rounds with Mike Tyson at his prime.

Do you guys know how a supposed to be 1080p movie have the resolution of 1920x800? Shouldn't that be 1920x1080? A lot of scene rips are in this terrible format. I want to watch movies full screen on my 46 inch TV and not cropped. Rant over. :p

When movies are being filmed it's usually for theatrical purpose which got a ratio on 2.40:1 instead of 16:9. When filming in 2.40:1 you get a 1920x800 resolution instead of a 1920x1080. When the movie is displayed on a 16:9 screen you get about 280 pixels which are the black bars you see. Hope that helps understanding why :)

I think they do that to reduce bandwidth since most will have just black bars. no point wasting file size on it.

When I listen to music (or not, totally irrelevant), I hum the melodies in my head and play them on my little air keyboard. The habit has gotten so bad that I no longer do it at home, but on the streets, in my car, anywhere. Found a roommate (my friend which I know for 3 years), we rented an apartment, the freshmen year starts at 15th September, but we'll start slowly moving from 1st September. I'm excited! Just hope that I'll do everything in time and that I'll find time for everything when college starts. I'll just need to overcome my laziness. :D

Now this is why I only drink beer!

I drank glass of wine last night, followed by a large amount of rum&cola. Started drinking it at 8:30, by midnight I was brought home. Threw up in front of a lot of people. Now my room stinks of vomit. With beer, it would all have been avoided. Plus, I took a shower, washed my hair, and then I went out, it was like 20-25 degrees outside. Now I've got an ear ache, it hurts like hell.

I've found another solution: I drink about only 2 drinks on a night out :) It's also financially a very good system ;)

But when there's a live band or a singer (like last night), I got to be at least a bit drunk to not get bored. Now, I sure as hell didn't intend to get wasted. I do this annually (not on purpose). Every year I get so wasted and after that I remain controlled for a year (or less or more). Except last night, I don't remember if I threw up in the past 12 months, or even more.

Haha, yeah, sorry about that. I also found out the hard way a few years ago and my dad proceeded to tell me this as i lay on the couch dying the next day.

Even worse, I slept so little, hungover the next day, with ear ache, I worked the third shift (from 20:00 to 7:00). I can't even sleep now. It's a seasonal job, just to have some of my own money when I start college. The up side is that the job is relatively easy, but the down side is that I always work the third shift. My sleep clock, my shit clock, all my clocks are getting retarded. One evening I work, the other I don't, and so on... Damn. :D

Saw an old buddy of mine today, great catching up on old times. Hadn't see the dude in like two years haha.

So, officially wrapping up my summer tonight with a few mates in Glasgow for Giuseppe Ottaviani, before i return to Ireland and uni on Monday. Its probably been my most memorable and enjoyable summer to date so ill be kind of sad to see the back of it but it will be good to get back into a routine again and give my body a break from Russia's finest selection of vodkas.

I have an anger management issue, big time...it has cost me so much money...i'm gonna get help for this and hopefully I won't be knocking :moonman: s out anymore...also giving up drinking because it triggers anger and is not a pretty sight...

Just before I posted the message, I logged in, and after a second everything stopped working. They must be trying out something new, I suppose. Now I'm pissed off. Not because I'm unable to go and spend a lot of time there, it's the opposite. I'd just check the messages (I've got 4 unread HELL YEAH!) and go to sleep, and I can't do that now. Lost my grandad today, but I strangely don't feel overly upset. I guess a part of me finds comfort in knowing that he's at peace now as the last 5-6 years of his life were rather unfavourable, between having major heart surgery and cancer twice. I think the reality of it may still hit home yet, though.

On the bright side, it brought back some funny memories relating to him. Such as the time he took the wrong turn off and started driving down the motorway on the wrong side, nearly killing us all. And this big bent sword he had hung on his dining room wall which he claimed was bent due to fending off tigers in 'Nam. :biglaugh:
