I believe the Internet offers the only remaining place where true freedom of speech is possible. As I speak even this freedom is being challenged.
The internet should be free! On the internet people are able to talk about stuff in a way which is not possible everywhere. That's a freedom to fight for!

I think the same stuff should apply as in the real world (some stuff is 18+, that should be in the 'backroom' where the kids aren't allowed to go).

i think it definately should be censored to a degree because theres things out there that i really believe children should not see and will affect them for the rest of their lives if exposed to early, but honestly i doubt it will be possible to censor anything it will be way too hard in my opnion

There should be somekinda censoring of hate speech, calls for violence and that kinda stuff. Parental control is up to the parents...
i support censorship to a certain degree...such as dealing with child porn or hate crimes, terrorist propaganda etc...anything illegal.
Yeah, that's where we need censorship. But if everything illegal was about to be censored, then how about illegal file sharing? Should that be consored too?

Think about it, I dont think it should be the governments job to censor the internet. I think it should be the parents job to protect the child from unwanted material. Sorry for the vague answer, Im on my Nintendo DSi browser.... lol.

I think so too. There are filters which makes some material unviewable in the internet browser. Parents can use those!
