Artwork / Album Art that you dislike

So the topic is pretty simple and as far as I'm aware, nobody has made anything like this before. I made because deep inside I have been raging but some really good tunes have extremely ugly artwork (especially particular labels). Now, these are the artworks that I think deserve to be chopped up and re-made by someone with some brain cells.

    1) The Euphonic Labels generic artwork is simply disgusting and looks awful.

    2) Coldharbour Recordings generic artwork. Again, particularly awful looking and some really good tunes have this as their artwork which is a shame, really.

    3) Captivating Sounds generic artwork. This one definitely isn't horrendous but isn't pretty either.

    4) ASOT released artwork. Just looks un-professional.

    5) Soundpiercing generic artwork. Just looks cheap. Although the newer version is actually pretty swell

Of course, this is one of the most pointless threads ever created but then again, who cares.

euphonic & soundpiercing have a lot of room for improvement, the others aren't that bad I think
New concept: mixing as many EDM genres in one mix as possible, to obliterate narrowmindedness Borders within Genres vanguish, check out my mix consisting of DnB, Dubstep, Hardstyle, House and of course TRANCE!

Well the Euphonic and Soundpiercing are definitely awful but the others could also improve since they look blant, boring and not-attractive. Taking in mind when their competition have a whole lot better artwork.

Also I didn't post all of the ones I dislike, just a few.

Here's an example of what very good artwork should look like.

    +1..
I like it that way.. Nice and simple.. All it have to tell you is: Artist, title and label..
For an example, something like this:

Also, i don't think the labels wants to create unique artworks everytime.. It's like their "trademark", like people know who released it when looking on the cover (except for some Armada covers)..

hmm your mentioned ones are not that bad as colors vary from release to release. Unfortunately some labels either bring no distinct artwork at all [stoneflow] or are stuck with too monotonous design [2play].

Sunset/sunrise pictures also can become monotonous, especially bad quality ones like

If you are free in your dreams, then why don't you go to places you always wanted to go?

I agree with Chreddy as to why they do it, it is to create a style of release, a signature look synonymous with the label itself.

Well, I agree with the whole 'distinction' thing and Anjubeats have got it spot on. I love their design and it's a pleasure to see a nice bit of work on my iPod.

I think it's a great bit of artwork, one of my favourite in fact.
I guess I prefer design over practicality.

But even though you said that there is too much going on in this particular cover, the artist and the song name are in bright yellow/orange writing over a black background. So it looks nice as well as having all the info you need.

does the cover of a EP really matter? im more concerned with the covers of artist albums of mixed compilation sets. armin does alot of bad covers as seen with ASOT. its always some cheesy picture of him LOL........

Hmm, well, of an EP maybe not so much but even so, I do prefer a nice cover :P But then again, I'm a stupid perfectionist who needs everything to be exactly the way I want which can often cause trouble.

Also, I thought that Imagine had a great cover, as did the Remixed release.

Hey .FILL, I also pay a lot of attention on album artworks. I think it's a great visiting card, and it's the first impression I have of a release (when I didn't hear the tracks before).

All my .mp3 files have attached to them a cover in high quality 700px (when possible), I like the way they look on my player
    Just a convenience :P

I think the visual plays a important role
This time top track: Carbon Based Lifeforms - RCA(+) (2015)
This time top album: Dntel - Life Is Full of Possibilities (2001)

Yeah, I'm exactly like you then because I always need to have high quality art work or I'm gonna be angry
BTW I have around 37GB's of music on my iPod and every single song/EP/album has a cover, there are no exceptions.

Haha, same here.. Except that i don't have 37 GB music on my iPod, but "only" about 15.. But everything is with covers.. The only exception is if there's an album/single or track where i can't find a cover..
